Holly & Matt thanks for the video and at 13:54 in the video I thought the fence is called the dingo fence. The Dingo Fence is the longest fence in the world. It stretches from Jimbour on the Darling Downs, stretches through New South Wales and ends west of Eyre Peninsular on the cliffs of the Nullarbor Plains. 👍👍

Everyone seems to be going crazy for Starlink right now. What plan are you guys on while travelling? I know many still use their residential plan while travelling. And they are not experiencing any connectivity and/or speed priority issues. The $199 discounted dish for certain rural areas is only available for the residential plan. If you choose the Roamin plan - the plan they recommend for on-land travellers - the dish cost $599. So it would be good to know if you're on a residential plan and still getting good speeds.

We have the roaming plan and use it at home. Works really well considering, better than the NBN we could get. Its been very handy for people like us who rely on the internet to make coin

aside from from your new build benefits and set-up changes, how does the 78 compare to the HJ47 as a touring vehicle, is it chalk and cheese, or is the HJ47 still a worthy and safe old tourer in her own right?
@OverlandTravellers Жыл бұрын
47 was always an awesome touring vehicle, just a bit more work to it. Modern comforts are nice, mainly AC and dust seals. Everything else is kinda a plus from there. As a safe touring vehicle I wouldn’t want to have any kind of accident in the 40, I think you’d be second best in most cases.

a kink in the fuel line of an unnecessarily larger tank that the Troopy doesn't need. I can't help but think this headache could have been avoided if those oem components hadn't been modified
@merv190 Жыл бұрын
No longer a headache I’d say.
@RoamingRooma Жыл бұрын
Troopy doesn’t need a long range. It is probably the best in the market. 2x fillers for 2x90L tank. Range is well over 1200km . These fellows might got that free as part of the sponsorship. I will take a jerry can if needed

Yes. It is hard to get Toyota reliability when all the Toyota has been removed
@OverlandTravellers Жыл бұрын
It’s just a small install issue, you have to expect these things on a build like this. The 180L stock is fantastic but it still wouldn’t have been enough for the current trip we are on, we would have been sort by quite a bit. Also in regards to it being unnecessarily large, you don’t have to fill it up all the time. When I’m not on trips it will be empty. It’s honestly been one of the handiest things on this trip. Also we paid for it in full 👍🏼
