Fuel Filter Leaking Repair On BMW E46 325 CI

After smelling some Fuel inside the car i knew it's from the filter ... I hope it will help you doing those simple things by yourself.

Like my problem yesterday.. I found a leak near the fuel filter under passenger seat then I fixed it with replace with a new hose and a pair of clamps..

I smell gas near the cabin area inside the car till I turn on the air. I’ll give this a try. If nothing succeeds would you have any other recommendations ? I’m still unfamiliar with the car. Thank you ! Great video.

Little threadloc will stop the clamps from backing off from vibration.

If you look at the clamps on the backside of the fuel pump. You will see the right kinda clamps

Found a leak on my E34 so I’m doing it this week and I’m hoping it’ll cure the hesitation under quick load conditions like junctions

Using the wrong kinda clamps...you need those special fuel hose clamps. About 50cents a piece

Mine leaked after replacement. New clamps and actually double clamped. Still leaks. Any ideas?

Did that leak cause a check light to go on. Kinda wondering if the regulator might act up from a pressure loss and maybe affect vacuum?? Probably unlikely but just curious to know if the cdm might mistake it for something else

in my case i replaced the filter a month before the leak... and i used the the old clamps (forgot to buy new ones ) so i bought new hoses & clamps.

How do you know you have a bad gasoline filter ???

check the hoses ...they are the weak point

So if the hoses are weak you only replace the hoses or the filter too

I have the same problem with my 07 bmw 328i the smell is strong specially at the passenger left side

if you didnt put new filter in last 2-3 years i think it's better putting a new one
