My gauge has been out of sink for about 2 years now ever since I was having problems with my battery, I've been stressing on guessing where my fuel level was, a month ago I ordered a replacement cluster on eBay and put it in today and quest what? It has the same problem with the fuel gauge. So I searched google and found your video and WOW. thanks, Jeff

What would cause a jerky gauge as it moves up to to full line?

InstrumentCluster: I have had three times within the last two months where my gas gauge would stop working, exterior lights would go off, and instrument lights would go off. Car would still run. The all of a sudden faults would clear. I don't know what the problem is. Do you have any ideas?

How u figured that out I'll never know I drive a 97 it did the same thing today disconnected the battery to wire up foglights reconnected everything thought someone had sipheled my gas was about to tear into the fuse box when I thought hmm I'll KZbin this n Shure enough a quick fix thanks a bunch sir.

it's a self diagnosing test if the bulb is working. it turns off when you start the car

We just use a magnet in the shop to move it back around don't even have to turn the car on...

Matt Allan try using a rare earth magnet. There stronger then a regular magnet. When you do move the radiator gauge over to the right with it then go back and move the fuel gauge back into place. Then turn the key on. I've had to do it a few times. Esp after disconnected battery.
