Fuel Gauge Issue!! - Toyota Tundras

UPDATE: so far this is the one and only time this issue has happened to me. Another 3000 mi and it has not happened again. .
There are numerous brand new Tundra owners who are having this issue where the fuel gauge is reading it correctly. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be a fix in place yet and it appears to be affecting 2022 and 2023 model Toyota tundras.
Here I just had my first false reading at almost 12,000 mi. This is happening with both the digital and analog gauges. I hope Toyota finds a fix for this soon because this is a pretty big safety hazard.

This has happened twice on my 2023 Tundra Limited at about 4,100 miles and again at 4,470 miles it took about 6 months for this to happen, but I heard from local dealer that some trucks have had the same issue within weeks after being bought, supposedly Toyota is working on a fix. Thanks for the reset tip.

I have the 22 1794 Edition. Haven’t had the fuel gauge issue but I have had the fuel economy (per tank) reset to 0 as if I just filled up. Strangely, the range miles is unaffected. I’ve had the truck since July of 22 and it’s happened probably 5 or 6 times.

This happen a lot on boat ramp back up or up-hill parking. It’s the longitudinal tank design, making all gas run toward the back, popping due gauge to full, very poor and safety concern agreed, I had mine to Toyota but local dealer no clue how to?

This happened to me 2nd day i had the truck. I Reset it by using the odometer trip button. Make sure its on odometer on the center screen. With truck off hold the odo button and hit the start button twice without foot on brake to turn on accessory power. when the fuel needle resets let go of odometer button. I have not had an issue since. Glad to see the second reset you tried works also. I heard the newer trucks will have an extra fuel sensor in the tank to fix the issue.

Funny, my 2012 FJ Cruiser's fuel gauge is incorrect too. It ran out of gas at 1/8th of a tank.

I got it Toyota 2016 Colorado is not working I filled the tank a week ago and it still showed full

How many miles did your 2014 4Runner have when you traded it in?

Went you buy the truck they give you the 2 keyfog? Or only one and is that the case you got the other key later or still waiting?
