This specific sensor is fuel level sensor 2 G169. The fuel level sensor is attached to the locking flange. Attached to the locking flange is EVAP vent line (thick plastic hose) and two vent lines that run from the fuel tank. The locking flange is held in place by a union nut. Replace the plastic union nut with a new part.
Fuel gauge sending unit - 8K0-919-673-A
Union nut - 4F0-201-375
Seal - 4F0-919-133-B
Flange - 8K0-201-301-A

$41 dollars on rockauto, did a ohm resistance test on old one. car had a full tank of fuel

I tried to do this on my b8.5 s4 but it’s a bit different. The wire goes all the way into the tank. I can’t just unplug it to replace the unit. Do you know anything about this??

I’m having the exact SAME problem with my 2018 Audi A5 Sportback. Dealership just told me $3700. 🤬 My car shut off in traffic on 75 traveling thru FL. I literally went from Ft. Laudredale to just outside Orlando, just about 3 hours on a full tank. Car started shaking & gave “Electrical Malfunction: Start engine manually” message. I had just replaced the fuel pump leveler & Sensor B control module. Now the dealer is saying it’s the Fuel Level Sensor 2-I’m so confused. Also said my fuel was on E; hooow?! I had driven less than 200 miles. I cannot afford $3700 for a whole new fuel tank. My car is stuck in another state! Heeelp!!

Hi there i ran into the same problem with my Audi a4 technik 2017 model, the Audi dealer ship told me I have to replace the whole fuel tank which is vary expensive, they said 3000 for the fuel tank and 1400 for labor and 7.5 hrs of work. They told me that I can't buy the fuel level sensor by its self but only the whole fuel tank. Please I need help what are my options thank you.
