Very useful information! Currently dealing with a gasoline flooded engine. Hoping the fix are the inyectors. Recently I installed some used but "cleaned" inyectors and those may have blown off or something. Thank you!

+ehowauto @Jon. How about a bad or leaking (fuel pressure regulator)? I found 2 gallons of gas in my oil. Random misfire. May be fuel in my tail pipe. 1998 Blazer not starting, now. I can't tell if radiator fluid is in the oil as very little is missing from the reservoir and gas is the dominant contaminant. I believe radiator fluid spurted out of the top of the fuel intake manifold. I believe I should change the fuel pressure regulator and head gaskets? Jon; do you believe I would need to change the spider-injectors? Accelerating up hill faltered the engine. In the past, I fixed a vacuum hose leak and a coolant leaking hose.

All you said is true! However I have a Volvo V40 t4, its 200hp turbocharged and the cars runs perfectly fine. It is not slower as it was from the factory, but I have a smell of fuel in my oil. Oil pump is far away from the engine. Fuel rack has pressure, when I press a valve it blows out fuel some time after engine has been shut down. I thought the turbo engine is warn out, in particular the compression pistons, because it does not smoke and there is no oil in the exhaust, so no oil pistons I supposed. I measured the compression and it was as per factory, but I wanted to point out to people, that it can simply be a warn pistons and engine, so oil and gas gets mixed.

Is there a fix to this I have 350 SB Carter 1406 carb mechanical fuel pump.on my El Camino haven't drove it in years and I start it once every other day .did tune-up.oil change was done a year ago.noticed it was watery smelling like gas

I habe a 97 v6 obs. Just put a new fuel pump and new fuel regutor and the old spider injector mechanism.. Been cranking my engine for a day and no start until today.. Fired up for 30 seconds and it back fited to a stop..smelles gas Quickly drained the oil and i had fuel in my oil.. Im thinking i should also buy the new spider injector set up
