Fuel meter not working ?? | how to check fuel meter of motorcycle or scooter if its not working

In this video you will learn how to check fuel meter and its wiring if its not working. The process will be same for any motorcycle and scooter. The fuel meter works on 3 wires , 1st is +ve , 2nd is - ve to the battery and 3rd is single wire which is also a -ve wire . If your fuel meter is not working then first check if the fuel meter is getting 12 volt or not , you can do that by simply check the neutral light because everything in speedometer gets + ve from same wire.
Once you sure that the fuel meter is getting the 12 volt now take a piece of wire and connect the two wires connected to the fuel level gauge in the tank . If the fuel meter needle goes toward the full then all of you wires and fuel meter is good and the fuel level gauge or its wire must be gone bad. But if there is no reading shown in the fuel meter after connecting these 2 wires then there might be two problems 1) broken wires , 2) faulty fuel meter .
To check if your wires are in good condition you need to use a multi-meter and set it on continuity then check both wires continuity with battery -ve , one wire should give you beep sound and another should give you readings , if not then the wire must be broken and you need to track and fix them.
After checking the wires if they are all good then to be sure if the fuel meter is faulty or not , you need to open the speedometer and connect the two wires which are - ve and see if you got any reading or not , if no reading then the fuel meter is faulty and if you got reading then fuel meter is good and then do check the wire by tracking them for any break at any point.

its hard to get replacement for old model parts , better to search in big old spare part shops , otherwise the only option is to repair the old wire or you could use the new models wire harness but for that you need to do some modifications according to old one

Is the colour of your multimeter probe interchanged bcz red should be actually +ve but you are putting it in battery's negative terminal

well , if you paid attention i am not testing volt , multimeter is in continuity mode and in that you can use the probe at any side , here it just showing that the wire is perfectly connected to battery negative and have no breakage in between

Bro ..i have also the same model pulser 150 old model ug 2 2006 model ,had replaced new block,new carburettor,new battery,and everything seems fine but its jerk when i ride it...its jerk when acceleration,deacceleration and even when in continue same motion....wt is the main problem can u tell me please

could be anything , as you said the block is new so i guess spark plugs are new too if not check them, check the ignition coils and there connections , if you saw rust then clean it and tight the connections is loosed and sometime ignition coil itself goes bad , if everything upto this part is good then check the pickup coil condition and the magnet coils too as it have starter coil in it which is responsible for producing spark , if still found no problem then CDI will be faulty

@@SAIREPAIR i think the problem is in CDI...so do u hve CDI For that particular model pulser 150 UG2 2006 model....bcuse i tried changing another CDI but it cause more problem when i put new one...they said u must hve CDI for these particular model n nobody has that model CDI so can u manage me one for that particular model i wil pay u accordingly....pleaseee..
