Should fuel pump have continuity between the leads and the pump housing ?

What does it mean when testing the power wire and the numbers jump from 12-14 volts then back to .03

If you hook a fuel pump to a toggle switch shouldn't it put fuel

If you follow the wires from the pump, to just behind the driver seat under the floor there's a component in which they can be plugged. What is the name of the component, and the harness of wires that connect to them? That is the cause of my pump not working, I need to replace that part and all connector's. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Please help! I have a 2003 GMC Envoy. I ran out of gas one day. Had someone bring me sone gas in a gas can. It cranked up but sounded like a rattling noise underneath the truck. I went and filled up with gas. Otw home ut acted as if it did not want to get up and go. It ran about 3 days like that but just got worse to the point where it would start but not stay cranked. Fuel pump is coming on and pressure is above 50. Changed the fuel filter. Nothing. Changed the electronic throttle body because the computer read that needed to be replaced. Still starts but will not stay cranked

It sounds like you may have a voltage drop or poor connection somewhere. If there is a corroded connection anywhere in the circuit it could rob your pump of the voltage it needs. Doing the test as described above leave much to confirm. This test should be done going back to the battery in my opinion. This will explain how to test for voltage drops a bit clearer maybe kzbin.info/www/bejne/jX67doGBqs-MqsU

Why don't you start by telling us what year make and model your working on?

What you got
@hawkofthenorth48295 жыл бұрын
@@coreyyell9169 in case you did not find answer. Yellow black is ground to fuel gauge, purple is fuel gauge +5 volts, grey is fuel pump +12 volts, Black is ground to frame will be same ground spot the fuel cap is grounded, is a short black wire that exits the Wire harness between cab and box Mine just broke here when I was changing brake line to rear, so if a pump is not pumping check this ground spot.

Needs more narration, like what year and make this vehicle is, that's why autozone blows yo', buy your parts from eBay or RockAuto, anywhere else is just throwing money down the drain.
@wayneruffner2234 жыл бұрын
Try Napa. They cost more but the parts are good and actually fit. Asking some kid at auto zone for any car part is useless. You'd probably have better luck ordering a cheeseburger from them.

Why did you take the wheel off? And why did you go way out to the hitch? The frame is literally right in front of you... I'd never let you touch my vehicle LMFAO
