The P0036 code is a diagnostic trouble code indicating that the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) control circuit bank 1, sensor 2, is not sending the correct data to the powertrain control module (PCM). For the engine to operate correctly, the engine exhaust should have a specific air-fuel ratio of 14.7 to 1, and it’s the HO2S (oxygen sensor) that detects the oxygen from the exhaust

I noticed when you press gas pedal , the bank 1s2 is not responding that means either the sensor is bad / the heater is bad / wiring problem Since you replaced the sensor, then check the harness and wiring for electricity

The O2BS2 don't need to fluctuating only the BS1. The Bank 2 sensor only measuring the oxygen level after the CAT and not affecting your fuel consumption.

I realise I get up to 35MPG on motorways I guess an old car that is the most I can get, I use Ford fiesta and I am getting about 24MPG so looks like the roads I am driving

Hi my motor is B16 dth diesel is the sensor placed same place as yours

@@nuramoboy Yes its nearly same place talked to Opel garage i had to peel off serviceplate underneath the motor and i will do that between xmas and newyear ,i will try to clean the sensor with brakecleaner it shoul be funktionel because its a lot of money to spend ,i got an DIY from local Opel garage 665 GBP only for the sensor ,so i had to take the old sensor out to find the exact number so i can find another place to buy a sensor my motor is opel b16dth 1.6 cdti opel zafira tourer p12 from 2015 136 hp maybe someone on the line know where to find the right sensor for me .Thankyou and merry christmas to u all around .Kurt
