Kat Rad ... I'm honestly so thankful for that. I am CONVINCED that is why (one of the reasons) ATL has lasted this long versus other good bands of the past like Boys Like Girls and Paramore. Alex and Jack get a lot of attention but the band keeps it real by never hiding how integral Zack and Rian are. They're not just a band; they are best friends and brothers. Other bands start having to deal with jealousy over the lead getting all the attention and their bond weakens. It's actually pretty amazing that ATL is still going strong when so many of their pop-punk counterparts fell apart.

I like this song because it strikes me as very genuine. Alex has talked about how this album is about his inner demons and is very personal to him. We all know how much this band is into the party life. This song is about regretting that and, to an extent, wanting to get away from it. That's something I actually see Alex struggling with. See, genuine.

What I like about ATL is how their lyrics always reflect something, and are a lot deeper than a lot of music nowadays. I think their sound is like the whole 'too pop for rock, too rock for pop' saying, but I like the fact that even if they're changing their sound, the lyrics are still meaningful

So.... What do you think of Wake Up Sunshine? I and many other fans love how it’s got elements of old ATL. They even did some new stuff on there too like on the song “Trouble is” which is in 6/4 and 7/4 time instead of 4/4. Also you’re incorrect when you said nothing has changed. LYR is more of a pop album than a rock album, a first for ATL. Wake Up Sunshine has course corrected back to rock.

I hope this song becomes a radio single in the U.S.! I don't care what people say: I want ATL to thrive and have huge success. Music fans are the worst in that they always seem to want to keep their faves from achieving mega-success. When you like an author, do you want them to only sell 50,000 books? Or become the next J.K. radio friendly rock. dig it. this way they can reach a larger audience and achieve mainstream success and radio play whist still having that rock/ pop rock vibe. Dirty laundry remains my favourite but i'm excited to hear the rest of the album.

People are talking about them "going pop" but I've been a fan since 2007, I like many songs from all of their albums, and I feel like they've ALWAYS had a pop element. Yes, even Dear Maria. Besides, if their sound didn't evolve for TEN YEARS they wouldn't be growing as a band and it would be pretty boring. Are you the same person you were 10 years ago? Surely not. Things that most definitely have not changed: relatable & real lyrics that have deep meaning, their dedication to their fans, the amount of fun they have on stage performing, and their success.

Who cares if their style changes? They should be able to make the music they want to make without fans stuck in the past to be upset about it. It's called progression, and that's great. Fair enough, you don't have to like the song, that's your opinion, but you shouldn't be rude to the band suggesting ridiculous things like "they are doing it for the money". Stay positive, your negativity isn't going to change anything :)

I'm a huge fan of all time low and I've stuck by all there changes and they've always had good music regardless if its rock or pop. if you love this band you should love them for what they are, people need to stop expecting and think they have right to hear music that was made 5 or 10 years ago. they've changed and there allowed to change people can't accept that. its annoying.
