J Dough in the event someone were to open up the device it would have to contain a capacitor to be able to level the voltage in the system. So for the claims it makes, it’s engineered to deceive the layman. A pcb like that is a couple pennies and if you have to make a million of these things.., you’re going to want to be able to automatically populate the circuitry and have someone just slap the halves together and throw it in a box, cost per piece is extremely low and they sell for 25.00. There is 95 cents there with the pcb and the stupid capacitor or 3.00 without the pcb, or can’t even sell the thing at all without the capacitor.

Mazda uses a "similar" system in the Mazda 3. Except that it's a 25- farad supercapacitor that it charges during braking (which loads the alternator and increases engine braking) and then either dumps it when you take off again, as part of the auto stop-start system, or it allows the alternator to switch off during acceleration, allowing the energy that would otherwise be used to run it to be used for acceleration instead. Basically, it's part of a regenerative braking system, and it actually does save fuel by recovering some of the energy that is normally lost to friction when you stop. I mention this because the fuel shark people actually compared this device to the Mazda system. Because a 1000uF capacitor by itself is somehow exactly the same as a 25,000,000 uF capacitor with support circuitry to take advantage of energy that is normally lost. In fact, other versions of the Fuel Shark used a 35v rated capacitor, and they were actually implying that this was better, because the Mazda system "only" contains a 25v rated capacitor.
@SunburnCity3 жыл бұрын

Renault use a similar gizmo in their cars. As a mechanic...The alternator does not have anything to do with the gas mileage of the car. All the alternator does is keep your electric devices powered along with charging your battery from the turning of the belt which is taking energy from the rotation of the combustion engine and using that power to charge the battery. This belt is not causing the crankshaft to do any addittional work and is in NO WAY connected to your fuel system. There is no way humanly possible that this can work unless it is reversing the flow of power of your battery which means you would be changing a destroyed car battery very often. There is a reason electic cars have HUGE battery packs of multiple batteries larger then the battery under your hood used to start your car.

I don't think that the people that say that this is working understand to what extent a capacitor would have an effect on the electrical system of a car. They think of capacitors as batteries. They also think they are able to keep wild and dipping voltages steady, regardless of how many watts of power would be needed. They don't understand what a 1000 microfarad capacitor is capable of storing in joules because they don't understand how many joules a battery holds. 1000 microfarad is absolutely inconsequential in a system like a car. :( those of you that believe that this will help your gas mileage are letting your confirmation bias get in the way of logical analysis and reasoning...

A capacitor really *can* save fuel if it's big enough - Mazda uses one in its stop-start system. But a 1000 µF capacitor won't do much at all. www.greencarreports.com/news/1069924_mazda-improves-fuel-saving-start-stop-system-with-capacitors

They built it wrong, important data most likely lost in the translation. The original plans called for a Flux Capacitor.

I just saw the commercial for this and boy did I LMAO.🤣 you always know if it's a Chinese scam when the commercial starts off talking about a worker that gets fired or a student that invents this amazing thing that will change the world. Not to mention it's always narrated by a robot. This one was especially funny to me though because I know how cars work so I laughed rather hard. I can't believe they're still selling this POS after 4 years.

It plugs into a cigarette plug, why would anyone think this crap would actually do anything in performance to their car? 😂😂😂

Soon as I saw that you just plug into your cig lighter holder and it 'supposidly' connects to your electric system and sorts your fuel system out I realised what a load of bollox

Few years ago I've watched a related commercial on TV . The commercial claimed that the product can improve the fuel burning efficiency of your car. So stupid it is!
@attilamagyar914 жыл бұрын
It can do that. It just doesn't do.

Even if it did work. Why would not all manufacturers fit these to their cars in the first place to make them more appealing to consumers...

Companies falsely selling this don't get jailed? Do they just make so much money from these scams is it that they don't care?
@jadekayak016 жыл бұрын
of course its a scam. how can a device in your ciggy lighter effect fuel?
@janrie73306 жыл бұрын
A high power device can use more fuel
@jadekayak016 жыл бұрын
@@janrie7330 dont be fucken stupid. this "device" is supposed to SAVE fuel. naybee i was not clear enough by saying "effect". of course a high consumption electrical device can INCREASE fuel consumption of the engine running it(the as an aircon unit does) but it can never save fuel
