I think it would dilute the quality. If you think that most of the Pros put out 4 x 15-20min vlogs each month then this 55min issue is equivalent and they cover a lot of things. I'd rather look forward to it monthly than find in the rush to turn out more videos the quality suffers.

I don’t agree with your comment about viewfinders, but that’s a personal thing anyway. With regard to the GFX 100 this is one of the reasons why I like this camera. The viewfinder is just great and also important if you shoot without a tripod as you need to set the focus points very carefully with this camera when you do landscape (especially with the 250mm).

This is a world class production, the harmony between the team members is so great it makes it something beyond the technical photography channel in addition to the truly photography loving people talking on the things they love best, this combination makes this the “Top Gear” of photography, at least for me.. From the Tech-Guy/comedic Marcus to the must-watch altitude-photography experience of Nick. Add to the equation the Wildlife genre/young-scamp charm of Harry and top it off with the Girl-Next-Door, sunny disposition of Ruth, and Disco! you've got a winning formula for a show which has kept its momentum as a compulsive watch for us outdoor photographers. Well done folks.

This is the best channel available on KZbin. Production is incredible and must take a hell of time to produce. I am happy to have just one episode per month as it gives them the time to produce a quality product. The webinar are great and even if they don't find the time to answer your question during the show, they will reply by email. Keep up the great work. I also think Ruth should also present more often her pictures.

My grandfather gave me my first camera, a Kodak brown-plastic Brownie, that used 127- size film. That was when I was 7 (1954), and I've been photographing ever since. I shot mostly transparency (slide) film, so my exposures had to be exact. It took me a long time to switch to digital mostly because the first cameras were not very good, and extremely expensive. Now the digital cameras are great, and while still expensive, they aren't as high priced as the y were at first. All I shoot now is digital, but I still try to get exact exposure, a habit ingrained from decades of film photography.

Great stuff again. Picking up on Marcus's allergy to mirrorless cameras with EVF would it be possible to do any kind of meaningful comparison between the latest mirrorless models and an older DSLR such as the 5D MkiV? I think the user aspects rather than pixel counting would be of benefit to many. Not just for static landscapes but for wildlife too, maybe Harry's otters. I speak as a 5D iV user who recently bought a small mirrorless micro four-thirds camera for the benefit of its lighter weight and inbuilt focus-stacking. I'm still not convinced that I made the right choice and I'm certainly looking at dusting off the Canon. Must agree with Marcus that an EVF really does take some getting used to.

Loved the show (I’m catching up after a busy summer). I used to be like Marcus and didn’t even consider mirrorless cameras due to the EVF, but when I tried one I realised that they are so much better - having a histogram in the viewfinder for exam is extremely useful for nailing exposure.

you guys are all so brilliant - and your efforts pay off month by month. the best photography show ever seen and actially the one the world has been waiting for. As concerns the waiting time from one show to the next; I am probably an „analog“ boy - I‘ld rather wait my bit of time and build up excitement. Quantity doesn‘t replace Quality. With shorter waiting periods you might get more consumed rather than enjoyed to the full. However, I love your contents and the way you present them. Very nice to have some validation re: my dislike of the EVF (Electronic Viewfinder). I do see the point of them, and once owned a mirrorless camera, which yielded decent images (Sony a6000). But the aesthetic experience of a good optical viewfinder can't be beat, IMHO. And if you're shooting a lot in a day, there's the problem of electronic emissions, in my case resulting in eye fatigue. Excellent, clearly articulated presentation on the histogram, and wonderful analogies. I would add one small point: I sometimes find that even if I shoot within the left and right walls of the RGB histogram, I can still get significantly blown-out highlights. So if I'm shooting a tricky dynamic range kind of scene, I will turn on the highlight blinkers (on my Canon 5D4) and preview the image to ensure the highlights aren't flashing black.

I was happy to learn that I'm not the only one that prefers the viewfinder on an SLR to that of a mirrorless camera. I thought it was just me! Do you think Canon will keep at least one DSLR around for people like us? Anyway, I love the show, even though I'm a little late getting to this one. When I switched from SLR to DSLR, the quality of my pictures fell off as I struggled to learn some of the differences between the two, which cause me to give up for a long time. Your show has inspired me to get back into it and overcome my struggles. I'm looking forward to more!

Hey guys. Since you love to break stuff, I have a suggestion for you: since I had to sell my photography gear while battling with cancer, and lost my job in the meantime, I suggest you send me any working gear you plan to break :) Camera and a couple of lenses would be great. Tripod and flash a bonus. That would help me to have my shutter therapy and, if just for a moment, forget about constant MRI-a, surgeries, therapies and waiting for test results. It surely would bring some LIGHT in my life that had become one continuos struggle. Keep up the great work, love your show even if you don`t send me anything :) Greetings from a new invalid from Croatia!

Probably too much to ask but any chance of a nightly show you lot are brilliant, the best photography show ever to grace the screen

You sort out the funding and we'll be there (maybe 5 nights a week though, as we'll need a couple of days to rest).

@@PhotographyOnline If I ever win big on the lottery you will be my first donation even if you don't do a nightly show, I am in a high risk category for this virus and stay indoors as much as possible, except to work. so my time indoors has been filled with Photography online. Thank you for keeping me sane with the comedy intertwined with the informative and entertaining content.

Another great episode. Thank you for this great work. By the way, I think it's just right once a month, it stays special and you always have a long time to look forward to :) Or every now and then a little special episode for in between. Anyway, I really appreciate it. Many regards to Derek and the team! Btw: Loved the shots from 38:57 - 39:25, reminds me of so many walks.

Great show!. I liked the explanation of the histogram and what high and low contrast look like on a histogram. The segment on the mountains was awesome.

Loved the section on using the histogram to get the correct exposure. I was super excited to try this out for myself. Sadly, my camera, Nikon D7200 doesn't support live view histogram.☹ Absolutely gutted! Keep up the good work!

Hi Danny. I am not too familiar with your camera so I can’t say for sure, but many Nikon models display the histogram on Liveview by pressing the down arrow. However, it will only do this if you enable it in the display menu. However, not all models will have this so maybe yours doesn’t (Marcus).
