Ok when are you going to pitch this programme to the mainstream TV channels, your production values beat many already showing on tv and obviously the subject matter will have a wide audience. I cannot wait to see each months show as you all have great ideas, you explain techniques and hints simply and clearly. Thanks for a great show.

Great series, really liking them. With regard to the tripods, thought to mention that the centre shaft is most beneficial for when taking low down shots. The shaft can be removed and reinserted from underneath (another double entendre :-o ) to hold the camera in an upsidedown position

I love the show. Great job and keep the videos coming! I just wanted to point out, regarding the twist lock discussion on the tripods that there are only 9 twist locks on the tripod that has 4 sections per leg as opposed to 12, as was stated in the video. Excellent show just the same!
@PhotographyOnline4 жыл бұрын
Hi Darren. Thanks for your kind comments. We actually said there would be 12 twist locks on a tripod with 5 leg sections (3 x 4 = 12), but we didn't have a 5 leg section tripod with us so I think you assumed we were referring to the one we had with us with 4 leg sections. We were just pointing out the pros and cons of having more leg sections. Thanks for your support and we hope you continue to enjoy our future shows.

Super content.. this needs to be on broadcast tv.. Re: 9:38 there can be other uses of center column, other than gaining length. 1) Some tripods support horizontal placement of the center column, thereby allowing top down shots, e.g. for macro work. 2) Most center columns have a hook at the bottom where you can hang your camera bag or a sandbag for added stability of tripod.

Fun videos, and great production value. As I like where you are going with this series I have A couple of slight critiques. On the tripod article: The feet of tripods you mentioned spikes can help and they do, but also a sandbag or water bag hanging from the center hook under the head can also be a great assist for stability for a weaker tripod with rubber feet and can be a cheap solution to increase stability in the field. On tripod heads alas you neglected to mention that is really important for those of us that do precise work such as macro and architectural work. That being a GEARED tripod head such as Arca Swiss C1 Cube, or Photoclam Multiflex. Mind you they are not cheap, but they are worth their weight in gold for those of us that need precise adjustments for our work. So please don't forget us "gearheads" in future vids . Other than that, great video.

Another enjoyable video, thank you. The section on mountain safety should be compulsory viewing for anyone planning a trip into the mountains. It never ceases to amaze me how stupid people can be and it’s annoying that they put rescuers at risk and cost the taxpayers a fortune because they are caught ill prepared for the conditions. There was a case earlier this month when MRT had to go out on Ben Nevis and the climbers (in the loosest sense of the word) were wearing trainers!! February in the Scottish Highlands, it beggars belief! Keep up the good work. Atb

I have been a subscriber to your channel and this weeks was only the 3rd. one I've seen so far, of the 3, This one was the best one I've watched. Yes, I'm looking forward to the next one, and since I am one of those creative, struggling artist, I can't fit one in my budget, and still pay the rent, I hope I'm the winner; because that is one terrific tripod. After only seeing it in action being used, and put to the stability, durability, and potential lifespan when taken good care of. The basic full extension without a center column is much higher than the one I have at full leg-extension, and the center column fully extended. The quality and apparent (what I got to look at on my 27" Dell monitor looks to have quality craftsmanship in its construction. I would to just be able to use one for awhile. Thanks for sharing all the quality tips, advice, and instruction pertaining to photography. I've seen the past three of your videos, and am a member of "Outdoor Photography", so I plan on not missing any of them. Sincerely, DMCooper DMCooperimages.com
