Just bought 4 packs a few days ago. Excited to test them out. Hope you do a video on adventure everyday pack and the Fuji everyday pack.

i love your packs, but this is a bit silly. Having no dog in the Kodak-Fuji fight, I still can't help but notice you are not adjusting exposure to a standard midtone value. This makes any comparison of each film's characteristic impossible. Try having your model hold a gray card. Match exposure and white balance and *then* judge the different flavors. Otherwise, it''s easy to convince yourself that one film is "the king of light and airy," and the other is for darker, moodier shots. Look at the work of Joel Meyerowitz or Stephen Shore on Portra. Their stuff is almost ethereal, it's so light and airy. Again, I have no special preference--I shot on NPS and Portra, in the day. I'm just saying control your variables, so the real differences stand out.

Good points! I will keep that in mind. However every film has a starting white balance, so equalizing white balance across all the films will not work very well. As for exposure, yes, those can be equalized more. However, Fuji films do handle pushing mid tones much higher than Kodak films without color shifts.

Does matching a pack to the vibe of each photo risk losing a signature style?

We recommend finding your favorite 1 or 2 looks and sticking with that per shoot at the very least.
