I purchased an X-S20 as a second camera to my X-T5 and primarily for video. This is an awesome compact camera for both video and photos. Great travel camera if you want to go light with a prime or two.

I'm keen on the X-S20 as a backup for my X-H2. My current backup is an X-T2. I toyed with the idea of a second X-H2, but having 2 of the same camera is kind of boring so I've been holding out to see if something like the X-S20 came along. It ticks my boxes. Sharing batteries with X-H2. IBIS, good autofocus plus if I do more with video I'd now have a second very capable video camera without overheat issues and the recording limit on the X-T2.

I have S10 for about 7 months, was going to go for XH2S but when S20 was announced with almost with all the things I needed for my video shooting but paying way less than $2000. I have ordered S20. I love the S10 and will keep it as a backup when traveling. I love fujifilm color and the sharpness is just amazing. I've moved from iPhone shooting to small APSC camera and just love it. Once my channel expand and can afford more expensive camera then I'll move to XH3 (hopefully)

Waiting for this xs20 to buy after sending back my x100v after two faults. Now i can exchange lenses on the xs20. and have a load more advances that it will give me. Having already the xt5 and the xh2 it will feel like I’ll be buying the future of fuji cameras.

I think it's an understatement or even an insult that this camera is made specifically for vloggers. No. It is just a bit more video centric camera that CAN be used by vloggers as much as by anybody else. I don't think vloggers need 6.2K open gate 30P. And that even H2s cannot do. And with the same same lens it can be used by photographers on the same level as X-Pro 3 or X-T4 (minus weather sealing which you shouldn't trust completely anyway). And it is way better than X-T30 II. At least for video.

I've been dead set on buying xs20 for a long time, and now every video i watch everyone says that ibis and autofocus in sony is far better. What do you say? What would you consider or what should i consider? Please it's very very important.

I use my X-S10 as my light camera body for travel and as a second camera body for wedding photography and video. This is a huge upgrade with many small improvments and a number of big ones. The removal of the 30 minute time limit for video is big when you shoot events, so you don't need to restart the video in the middle of a long wedding ceremony. For travel photography I had no problem with the old battery which could usually last me more than a day and I always brought spares, but for events and long form video that is another big upgrade. However, the autofocus has also been greatly improved with several reviewers stating that it is the best Fuji has released so far. This is huge for reliability when using the camera for moving subjects in event situations. X-S20 will be a great camera for vloggers and content creators, but I think it is more than that. The XS-line might not be for all Fujilovers, but it brings more value and features than any other APS-C camera on the market. A small body with a great grip, ibis, swiveling screen, big battery, great video features and autofocus. You can use it for travel, events and all kinds of videography. The only real shortcomings in my book are the lack of weather sealing, the small viewfinder and that it only has one sd-card. Some more buttons and custom modes could have been nice, but there is no perfect camera. The XH cameras are a bit too big for aps-c in my book, and I don't like the screen and grip on the XT cameras, there is always some compromise.

Seems like a nice upgrade from the X-T3 as well as the X-S10. There are a few things are weird or small negatives, but not deal breakers. First, having only one card slot when you're accustomed to having two. Secondly, the HDMI port is on the same side that the LCD screen folds to so it blocks the screen when facing forward. I don't know how tight the "notching" is on the PSAM dial, but seems like a lock function for that would be useful. Some vloggers would have liked to have had something better than 4k/60 for better slo mo. But, all-in-all it seems pretty cool. I will be watching some longer use reviews over the next few months for sure. Have a great Memorial Day weekend!!

As an XS10 owner with an eye on the XH2s, this has now caught my attention. I have the XF150-600mm lens and manage quite well with the XS10 but would like a bit more AF 'horsepower' closer to the XH2s. I think this is a very tempting alternative. BTW, other upgrades include higher resolution LCD screen and accepts UHS II SD cards. I completely agree with Booray's comment on how this set of upgrades is substantial (ahem..pay attention Sony) and worth the $300 bump (IMHO). I am not into video (but may branch out), so I think this of interest to potential XH2s buyers who may struggle to afford one.

Fujifilm X-S20 is the camera that will always be with you and possibly used as a second camera in addition to the main camera when shooting events, besides do not have to think what lens is adapted to the camera, because all available lenses fujifilm perfectly fits, I think this is the most successful camera release, everything that was missing in the last generation is now in the updated version, it's just a gift for everyone who loves fujifilm.

I do not think the X-S20 is just a "vlogging camera" I think the 1300$ price is very competitive. To me it is a truly hybrid content creator's dream camera. It can be used for studio work, vlogging, video and photos. And when you add Fujifilm's Film Simulations and community - another social proof bonus. The smaller size and generic design are a plus when traveling. I think this camera is an amazing offering for someone that wants to level up from a smartphone.

WOAH!!! Just stopped when you said 'not 17 but 79 raw files in buffer'!! I have and love my X-S10. Am getting the X-S20 in 5 days. The X-H2 has amazing burst mode among its other advantages, but the compact size of the X-S and its IBIS are what won me over for the S10. For non or semi professionals, I don't think one needs more than the X-S20. Add the 30mm f2.8 macro and the 18-120mm f4 and Bob's your uncle. (Until it starts raining)

I'm Back to Fuji ( With XT30II ) since the S20 was in B'O for a few weeks so I pull the plug after 5 years been on Sony with A9 and A7RIIIA, Sony have detail and great recover on shadows but lack of natural colors. I just love the fuji Files, Now I spend less time on Computer editing and I can almost upload JPEG files direct to Social media sites. My next one may be S20 or XT-5, still Thinking but batteries are also different now. I love the manual controls on the Fuji XT30II and image quality is just great

@@superstringsbro I don’t own it but that is considered one of the best kit lenses out there despite its age. Philip Bloom made a video about Fuji Autofocus that I suggest you watch. It’s on the X-T4 so not as good as the newer bodies but worth a watch.

Although I understand where you are coming from, peoples' buying decisions are not quite as simplistic as you suggest. I want a small and light capable camera that is a good all rounder. A camera that takes good photographs that can take videos in a split second without having to press other buttons or dials and can support slow motion. A camera that has a good built in grip that helps to support a 70-300mm lens all day without hand fatigue. A camera that has very good animal and bird autofocus tracking. A camera with a large battery that may allow photographing all the phases of a solar eclipse on one battery. I will probably buy the X-S20 for wildlife, landscape, eclipse, night sky, macro, architectural building photography, almost everything apart from photographing people and doing vlogging.

THIS. Everyone blanket labeling this as being a camera that you should really only choose if you're a 'vlogger' seems to be way too easily swayed by the Fujifilm marketing and the fact that there's a VLOG option on the dial. If you look at the camera as a whole it is so much more than that.

I owned a XS 10 loved it & lost it. Love tge compact size, PSAM Dial and price point. Looking to replace the camera with either the X S20, X H2. I am not a Vlogger but there are plenty of reasons to grab tge X S10. The X H2 is the other option but I am going to rent each of these and make a decision.

I'm super unsure if I want an X-S20, or leap to the X-T5. I -used- to have a Canon 600d and many lenses, but had to sell them all, so now I am cameraless, but looking to get back into it... I WOULD have gotten a x100v, but TikTok made that an impossibility.

Considering its features and what else is out there at this price point, I think the X-S20 is very competitive. I sure will get one as it is a nice upgrade to my X-T30, even as a stills only camera, although I also wanna get more into filming. Better autofocus, better battery and IBIS are a worthwhile upgrade while the video features are more than I will ever need. Great package!

The X-S10 is 3 years old. ("announced on October 15, 2020") Considering the major changes in the X-S20, $300 isn't that much, especially if you can trade in the X-S10 and you already have Fuji glass. Yeah, it's a no-brainer:)

I've had the X-S10 for 3 years now. The AF, especially in auto mode, will do exactly what you want. I've shot from macro to birds in flight and everything in between. If you can get a good price on an X-S10, I don't think you'll be disappointed. But if you want a great all-around camera, I'd say go for the X-S20. Making videos of your family works on both cameras, just the X-S20 will do more. I think it's a question of price and where you will go in the coming years.

I was only saying to my daughter I wish there was a Fuji sized between my x-t4 and my x-t30, sat on the train home after a trip and I get a notification about this camera! I have no video needs at all and dislike that it says vlog on the dial however I like the size and specs on the camera such as the improved autofocus. Question is do I trade my two cameras so I can just have one and not be thinking do I take my “big” or “little” camera 😂 I don’t use large lenses and love the size and weight of my x-t30 but it is small and I have to take a charger or buy another battery - however I love the dials rather than pasm dial. I always take the x-t4 on holidays but I think maybe because I feel it’s the type of camera I should take rather than the x-t30 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 decisions!

These kind of decisions can be frustrating with the same time kind of fun. One of the things with being a Fuji shooter that you don't have to deal with much when it comes to other camera brands is that you have to factor in the way the camera looks and the big dials whenever you are considering a Fuji camera that follows the more traditional form of the last decade. It's hard to move away from something like the XT4. 🙂📷

I’m tempted to see if I can hire one eventually for a short time but I am very cautious about trading my x-t30 in particular as that’s the camera that made me change to Fuji and makes me want to take it out! I am tempted to try a different lens on it for travel as the one on the x-t4 is quite heavy and so cannot be used with a smaller camera. If I can get a decent travel type lens with some reach for the x-t30 that might make up my mind! Decisions decisions 😂 thanks for the video

B&H photo reviewed this camera and the vlogging footage was just horrible. They took the video down, cut out the vlogging footage then reposted the video! Caveat emptor.

Hello! I want to make a contribution and clarify that the sensor of the Fujifilm X-H2S, despite also having 26mp, is not the same sensor as the other 26mp cameras mentioned, since it is a stacked sensor. Fuji as a camera company is a lot smaller than canon, nikon and sony. Bcuz of limited resource, they need to be smart with its camera line up. I agree fuji camera line up is more simple.

IMO, specs are good but given the hand held shots I've seen on several tests on YT, IBIS doesn't look that good for a "vlogging" camera

Hey Booray, A Vlogger would love this camera, and wouldn't mind paying an extra $300. Some great features added, like the Product Priority mode sounds great. The 10GB per second write speed is impressive. Good on you Fuji, thanks for this video.

If I didn't have my Panasonic Lumix S5 the Fujifilm X-S20 would be on my shortlist. I want a hybrid camera for content creation. If I was looking for an APSC camera for KZbin, Vlogging, Taking Photos and Videos sub 1500$ I would get the X-S20 As smartphones have reached their peak (or are close to it) I would skip an upgrade cycle and get a camera. And 1300$ does not seem crazy compared to a flagship phone.

No IBIS in the X-T30. I disagree here. The X-S20 is great as a compact carry-around and take great photos camera. I may never use the vlogging capabilities. Like you, I rarely do video. I have had so much fun and success with the X-S10 as a photo camera. I've shot only 2 'official' videos on it. I think this camera will fill a lot more niches than just vlogging. Simply a lot of power and versatility in a small, easy to use, Fujifilm camera.

IMHO, it's not just the battery, but what a more powerful battery can do, that's worth the $300. New, faster, processor, burst mode, improved video (if that's your thing) I think are all made possible with the larger battery.

Wow! I don’t want the XS20. I have the XS10 and I haven’t expanded my skills so that I need to upgrade. I’m not a blogger or a big video producer. Bigger battery is always a good thing. Having used older Fuji bodies I’m used to carrying extra batteries. Batteries are cheap and light. I am not the intended market. I am not an blogger. I await either the X100VI or XPRO4.
