Fuji X10 Review (Part 1)

Blows the G7 away, and images look about as close to E-PL2 quality in a P&S. Great still camera, great manual controls.

lol this camera doesn't suck .. it's an everyday carry around camera, we don't all feel like carrying 3kg of kit when we're just strolling around town.

the real bummer is the lens cap :) a beautiful camera - will you be getting the new X20? I am glad I waited a bit as now I can get the X20 in end of Feb. I still worry that the X20 will not beat my Sony RX100 especially in video. But with now a better processor and the lens being faster then the RX100 the IQ might be close and better in low light when lens zoomed. - nice review - but not sure how the X10 can have better IQ then Sony NEX5 with APS-C sensor but maybe - not NEX5n I take

how does the X10 compare to the Sony RX100 ? as it has a larger sensor - to me this is not quite a true point and shoot as it is larger than typical point and shoot as well as it needs a lens cap which is a drag for a point and shoot. I love the retro looks and build seems great and nice lens and nice menu system and price now around $499 is not bad - only concern I have is - low light, IQ with the smaller sensor than the RX100 - how about macro and focusing? some say it has issues with it

Even the E-M5 which is more than double the price of the X10, only has slightly better, barely noticeable difference in image quality .. lol, if you're going to fanboy a company, atleast choose one that makes decent cameras that aren't outgunned by point & shoots.
