Take a bow sir, my camera and Samyang 12mm lens are les than 4 hrs in my house, until you told us about Manual Lens not being recognised I could not get the camera to take a picture. Found the setting and I have taken my first picture. I also set the one card I use to sequential as I do not anticipate using a back up card. I now need to find a video on the best settings to use. I will go back and watch your 2hr tutorial not the camera is working as it should!. Thanks, I need people like you.

I have an issue with x-t3 with my only auto lens xf 18-55, when shutter button doesn't always work, and it like seems it requires in this occasions more pronounced push. When the issue is appearing is not clear but I was able specify that in most cases it's when I hold the half-press (i have af-c usually) too long (more than 5-10 sec). Shutter is on release priority, not focus. And it seems like there's no issues with manual lens. I also found that it might be flicker reduction option doing something, but it always was off in my cam. I'll check 18-55 lens contacts later, maybe that's the issue really.

This just saved me time & money, thank you! I have a Rokinon wide angle lens on my XT-1 and never had issues with the shutter but after it sat around a couple months the shutter button wouldn’t release. Switching Shoot Without Lens from Off to On did the trick! Thank you!

Have an XT1 and XT2 both with shutter buttons not working. Have had the XT1 repaired in the past and broken again. Thinking of upgrading to XT4 but concerned this fault has not been fixed. Any thoughts?

Very helpful info, but my camera will still not focus. I think it may be that I tried setting up back button focus and did not do it properly. Any suggestions?

Sorry to hear that. Not sure if you have an X-T4 or not but if you have a Fuji camera with the focus setting lever on the front of the camera make sure that not on Manual focus. You could also try resetting the camera in the settings back to the default and that should fix things if you have changed a setting you aren't sure how to revert back.

i had a problem this morning .. i was filming in 1080p 60fps and it all went fine...I switched to 4k 60fps and the AF wouldn't work anymore, nor the shutter to start recording... I went back to 1080p an it was working again. any clue what this could be??? thx for helping.!

@@ScottDawson thanks a lot for your reply! I found the error... my 4k-videos save-folder was set on an hdmi-output source, instead of the SD-Card. In the settings FULL-HD and 4k have different settings... so you have to set them individually. AF and shutter worked how it should after fixing those settings.

I had issue that it wouldn't take pictures until i had a 2nd card installed, but I believe its a setting somewhere putting raw onto sd1 and jpeg onto sd2 hence the problem, but i never found the setting to change it

In fuji film xt4 the focus appears to be locked after clicking the photo. Focus circle not right, left, up, down. Camera turn off after 1 click photo, again focus lock. Focus circle green and AFL icon show. Also did a reset. But not solve problum . please help me

Unfortunately none of the fix's you had recommended worked for me. After trying everything I resorted to pressing the shutter button really hard out of frustration. To my surprise it worked but only with a lot of force. After a couple more times pressing it it needed less and less pressure and now works like normal. Only something I would recommend trying as a last resort but worth it rather then throwing the camera away!

Hi Scott! So, I came to this video because I have a STICKY shutter button. I know that a tiny bit of beer sloshed onto my X-T4, and I thought I had cleaned it all up, but apparently some got in the shutter button and now it sticks. Any suggestions on how to clean that out?? 😲

I’ve got a third party lens on my xt4 which is attached correctly but still comes up with F.0 ... any idea why?

Have you tried adjusting the aperture with the control wheel?

If you have a 3rd party lens, you will not have AF because the lens with not communicate with the camera. Thus you will have to focus the lens manually, i.e. camera set to MF, and you have to adjust aperture manually on the lens (assuming it is a aperture ring on the lens). In addition you have to go into the wrench/button/dial settings / menu and set the "shoot without lens" feature to "on".

How about the problem caused by Fuji? Since they are too cheap to even provide a shutter button for their expensive cameras, individuals are forced to purchase and install their own shutter buttons, and after having several shutter buttons fall off, the owner may over tighten the button and warp the mechanism. Just search -- yes, it happens. I am still stunned that Fuji charges $800-900 for an X-T30, but does not provide 1) a shutter button; or 2) a decent grip. Not to mention that even in the third iteration of the X-T series, they were too cheap to provide a freely swiveling LCD, something I do have on a ten-year old Samsung P&S camera.

If you put a 3rd party prime on your fuji and it needs to be set to shoot without lens mode :) haven't used one on my xt4 yet and forgot
