Fujifilm 10-24mm f4.0 Good or Bad?

I hesitate for a long time between the 10-24 and the 10-18 from sigma. I had the opportunity to try both and I choose sigma for that constant aperture of 2.8 for night street photography

It’s a great lens. Particularly the WR version. I lucked into the WR on eBay for cheap but even then I didn’t end up keeping it. For exactly that reason - I just don’t have a ton of use for it. And aside from the very wide end, it overlaps with other lenses that I have.

Those are my arguments as well. Too bulky for my street photography, and overlapping the superior studiolens (viltrox 13 f1.4). Id imagine its great for filmmakers and vloggers though. Or if youre in realesate film and photography

Viltrox 13/1.4 > XF 10-24/4. Which does not mean that the zoom is a bad lens, quite on the contrary. It's just Viltrox that is fantastic.

Nope, its not bad - its just like you said, and it makes little sense to own the 10-24 for talking heads now that I know the perfect focal lenght for my studio. And its f1.4, so its lovely in that setting. Funny how we attach ourselves to gear "just in case" hey? Cheers for watching!
