It’s controlled by drug lords , Russian and Moroccan and Bulgarian mafia, do your homework dude. Hey Daniel, is 1.4 or 2.0 converter better for this lens to not compromise the image quality?

Hey AJ, I have no idea to be honest, dont use converters in my kit as per now. But converters comes with a cost, if it is noticable is however a better question. Did you find this out already?

While we are just planning our trip to Namibia for next years September, I couldn't wait to dive into the topic of which lens to rent for making my X-T5 a wildlife camera after getting weddings done in Europe with 70mm as my longest focal length :-D Very interesting video, looking forward to give the 150-600 a try!

Very nice review! I've never tried this lens, but pre-ordered the new version 2 of it. Received it yesterday and I'm honestly quite disappointed with the build quality of it. It feels really quite cheap. Feels way cheaper than even the 18-55mm kit lens. I understand that this is likely a result of trying to make it as small and light as possible, but since I'm just an amateur photography-enjoyer, who partly chose Fujifilm because I thought it's a nice and quality feel, I think I'd rather have a bit more bulk, with a lot more quality. So I think my plan is to return the lens and maybe look for a "like new" used original version on MPB. I just cannot justify spending that much, on a lens I don't ENJOY using. Anyways, ramble is over! Take care and Merry Christmas, fellow Scandinavian!

Very subjective though. I havent used that lineup from Sony, so I cant really say, but if you like that design better then sure! The sigma 18-50 is 100% a very good affordable option. @LuqmanHakimMdShani16 күн бұрын
@@DanielBryn sony a6700 is the best hybrid apsc camera sony made yet. Although 26mp is less than fuji xt50 but it's more than enough for most and perform better in lowlight. It has fast AI autofocus and very reliable. it also has bigger battery now for longer shoot. Flip-out screen makes it better for vlogging. Overall ergonomic is also the best one out small camera i held with. Sony system in general have more lens option which is great for starting out with a budget

Hey there, many thanks! Yes, thats one way of doing it. If I find a particularely bright spot that would be interesting, id spot meter the bright area and wait for my subject, just like you say. Ive got this spot metering programmed to one of the buttons on my XT5 so I can quickly do that and switch back to overall metering that I use the most (then adjust with exposure comp dial).

I would disagree that 26 is enough megapixels. When doing street photography 40 is much better, as I can crop in a lot more and not lose quality! The only thing I’m still waiting on is them fixing the auto focus firmware with an update! Waiting, waiting waiting? Maybe they’ll just wait till they get the XT6 out. 🤫
@DanielBryn26 күн бұрын
If you need to print large, then sure. But ill be honest and say that 26 is plenty enough for me and how I showcase my work (mostly instagram and web) It is however great to crop with those extra megapixels though. And yeah, that Autofocus, what happened to that? Im sure the XT6 will be cool (I secretly hope for the flip out screen, he he). And thanks for watching, and offering your opinion Simon. Have a great day!

“I can stay at a distance just wait for my subject.” I do street photography and use mostly the 35 and 50mm field of view. 28mm is too wide for me as I’m forced to get very close to my subjects. Recently I’ve been using the 90mm lens. I live in Seattle and there are very few people on the streets following Covid. As a result I go to the Pike street market where there a lot of people. I now do candid portraits. The 90mm lens is a good choice for this work. I also bring the X100VI along with the TCL for more conventional street photography imagAges. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)
@martingreenberg870Ай бұрын
Daniel I prefer a tilting screen for street photography. The flip out screen is better for video but makes the camera more obvious for street photography. I do like the flip out screen when in portrait mode. The camera has the feel of a TLR camera. I understand this is a personal choice. I just purchased a X100VI for the IBIS. I too prefer the 26MP sensor size. Even 16MPs are OK with me. I don’t crop my images so I don need 40MPs. I don’t need the larger file size. Rather than buying new cameras I wait until I can buy them used. I just bought a XE2 for $360. Maybe I spent a little too much for it. I like my bodies small and lightweight. The same for my lenses. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)
@DanielBrynАй бұрын
Yes Martin, it is indeed a subjective matter. Flippy screen is my fav for both. And yep, high MPs is more a matter of technological advance if you ask me. 26 is more than enough. But it is good to have the cropping option with the higher MP cameras out there.

Interesting video. Mainly because I'm thinking of a similar setup for my future prime combo. I currently have the Fuji 70-300 and the Tamron 17-70 and they complement each beautifully for hybrid uses. I commented on your video when you compared the Fuji 33 and the Sigma 30 and think I'll save for the Fuji because I owned the Sigma for my previous camera (Canon M50 mk ii) before getting an X-T4. It was a great lens don't get me wrong, but I just love the look of the Fuji 33 and the AF will be a lot better. Therefore, I'll get that and the 90 later down the line. Because I shoot a lot of sports and action, I was thinking of getting the 90 first, but I just get the feeling the versatility of the 33 will be the way to go for my first prime lens for Fuji.

@DanielBryn yeah the 70-300 is a fantastic lens and the 1.4 TC also works great with it giving you an insane reach for such a lightweight lens.
