If you can't get your photos in focus don't blame Fujifilm. Every brand has had perfectly capable AF for more than a decade.

@@geofff6671 lol I can focus my cameras just fine, but Fuji undoubtedly has the absolute worst af system of all major camera manufacturers. They’re light years behind and still trying to crank out cameras when they should be focusing on catching up on af. Only an unrealistic inexperienced Fuji fanboy would say otherwise. Go watch all the top Fuji KZbinrs about this latest firmware update and get back to me. They should also fix their distribution problem or at least stop artificially manipulating supply. It’s a terrible strategy.
@VolleyballLyfe6 ай бұрын
@@GungKrisna12 i understand what and who the majority of their demographic is but that doesn’t change the fact that their af system is light years behind all major brands. I prefer manual focus for street photography but for the price of an XT5 or even the new Xt50, you should be getting a more than competent af system with eye tracking. You’re not and each firmware for the XT5 the af has gotten worse. They need to hire some Canon tech away after their new R1 flops on presale lol.

Medium format fixed lens, does not mean that it could not be a little zoom lens ;) maybe we see a 24 to 70 or something on it. Then it would make overall more sense (at least for me)

If you do some reading you will find that there already is support for that 65:24 format on the GFX 50S /R and 100. I don't see the need for a new camera just for this. However, the addition of that format to the newest 40 Megapixels sensor equipped cameras would be a welcome news.
@stanobert34756 ай бұрын
A 28mm full frame lens equivalent would be perfect for the fixed lens medium format camera. We could bring our X series lenses and cameras for flexibility and the compact medium format camera for special scenes.

Anamorphic fixed lens to a FF sensor with a HybridVF could emulate the XPan. They could make two focal lengths -- equiv 21mm wide and equiv 55mm wide in order to provide a somewhat complete system. A third focal length could release if it were popular. They'd probably have to collaborate with the Chinese anamorphic speecialists in order to construct it, but that's ok as they would likely need to manufacture it there anyway to keep the cost reasonable.

For GFX fixed lens camera design cues, look back at the old Fuji GSW690iii and GW690iii cameras (the 'Texas Leica'). Awesome cameras, I owned a GW670iii when it came out, and more recently picked up a GSW690iii. The two models are equivalent to 28mm and 40mm in 35mm format.

Thank you very much for this insightful video. I agree with you that a 35mm focal length (on full frame cameras) is not wide enough and at the same time not tight enough. It would make more sense if the fixed lens is 28mm equivalent. 28mm and 50mm are my favorite focal lengths.

Not that I know anything but a 28 mm (equivalent)lens on the GFX makes the most sense to me ,with such a huge sensor one could crop the image a la the Leica Q. They would have to stop it down to get that big sensor into the smallest body possible. Proably of most interest to photographers not videographers. That's something I would take a hard look at
