I own this camera, it is awesome, i use it mostly with the new 35mm f2 fuji lens, absolutely magical combination, while it may not have the specs of a higher end camera, it certainly competes in regards to image quality, i shoot RAW+fine, and mostly upload the jpgs as they are, the film sim modes are incredibly good at giving varying looks, and the ability to control shadow depth and highlight detail kinda makes lightroom and raw editing redundant, it really is that good! Yeah we got newer fuji models now, the new x-e2s, but the x-a2 can hold its own every time.

I have this camera and am using the TTartisan AF 27mm F2.8. It is a great little camera. I highly recommend it today in 2023. I believe you can find it used for a decent price. Have a good one to all.

try SR+ mode. then change into manual focus.

The 56mm is the best portrait lens Fuji currently offers, but it's about $1000 so you better save that money And buy a better camera if you're gonna spend a lot of cash on lenses

Nezza Raffi-Ain Camlian do you mean EM10 as the EM1 is in a different price bracket, I would recommend the Olympus as you have the image stabilization and an Electronic Viewfinder and the interchangeable lenses are a good range and price. the XA2 would make a good second camera though. you should shoot film too, you could pick up a Canon Canonet QL17 Giii for £60-120.

+Nezza Raffi-Ain Camlian I've got the X-A1. The Fuji lenses are incredibly sharp, we're talking 19% sharper than the sharpest professional lenses from Canon and Nikon - in that 16-50mm. The 50-230mm is ridiculously sharp as well, but the lens stabilization won't reveal its greatness, you'll need a tripod to get the best results. The low light performance is immense with 6400 looking fantastic, its similar to the Nikon D750 or Canon 6D in ISO. Skin tones look real good, but sometimes outdoors images can go wrong, but I'd rather take that then what comes of an entry level canon or nikon. My X-A1 glitches pretty badly when I switch modes like from A to M, and is stuck on previous settings or is doing something wierd. I turn it off before I switch dial settings. Hopefully that firmware problem doesn't exist in the X-A2. A previous Nikon of mine was the worst for firmware glitches, this one is manageable. Trade offs: the best lenses, the best ISO performance, no viewfinder, potential glicthing. easy to drop. Even if the ISO sucked, and the screen was crap, and it glitched a lot, the lenses are monumentally awesome - and we're talking kit lenses that are superior to pro level $$$$$$ big buck Canon and Nikon lenses. But you also get "FF" matching high ISO performance. Buy one of those viewfinder boxes on ebay and stick it to the screen if you really want a viewfinder.

Fuji cameras have never been made for videos. All of their cameras are really, really bad at videos. You'll be better off if you just stick to taking pictures with them. They're way better at that

+bbylyn srn it depends of your needs. Nikon J5 has a more little sensor (8'8x13'20), the xa2 (15'x23'6) which means more image quality, but j5 has a faster shutter. You can compare both cameras in alot of webs. Im with your same doubt, i think i will buy j5.

No it's not. Fuji is garbage at video. You'd be better off with a Sony a5100 or rx100 or even one of them canon point and shoots for vlogging. Fuji is great at taking pictures tho

I have this camera and I must say the video quality is outrageously amazing but I think you will have a hard time if you're holding it yourself like a selfie way cause you cant see the screen. So ask someone to film you. But it's great if you're the one filming something. Nonetheless, the vid quality is amazing!!! Hope this helps.

***** the Image Stabilization is the big noise with that model, also on the very nice Olympus Pen EPL7, no viewfinder but Olympus offer a World Class mountable EVF, no pop up Flash but I think the Pen is Obviously marketed as a Second or Third Camera.
