I was out in the Arts District that same day shooting with my XT1 & WR Fujicrons! Dig the video!

My fuji xt1 has been completely rained out 40-50 times without a problem. also with the fuji WR lenses never had any problems in the rain. Was I lucky? 40-50 times lucky? I do not think so . It is just a very solidly built body. I think it's much more dangerous if you work with the body outside in freezing temperatures, and then go somewhere where it's hot. Then the body condenses inside and that is worse, certainly in the long term. Always give the body and lens time to go from cold to warm and vice versa

Yeah, I agree with others. The "resistant" means it "helps" if a little water gets on it. It's not water " PROOF". Shooting in the rain like that, you are really asking for trouble down line. I'd still try and protect it as much as I could. A simple clear plastic bag helps. Water and electronics. Never a good mix. "Resistant" or not.

Great video. By the way did the X-pro survive?

The X-pro still works like a dream and has been in a few more rain shoots since. Not what I would have expected but I'm also not complaining.

You were the first person I thought of when shooting this. I can't wait to come back, hopefully soon.

How was the AF? Fast, no problems? would like to have seen the pictures?
@TroyTemplin6 жыл бұрын
RawGreySun it is faster than the X-T2 and way faster than the X-pro2. I’m going to have to play with the settings more to perfect it but works great. I have noticed that with any of them turning off facial recognition speed it up a lot for my type of shooting. I don’t usually shoot off the hip like in the video but the high speed and being very close to the subject is normal. And this seems to be very hard for mirrorless auto focus. Needs more testing and fine tuning but I’m happy.

I also updated the description and it now has a link to see a few of the images from the shoot.

huh, it's weather resistant, not water resistant ! I would not do that too often....

Ralph Lemarechal I’ve shot for hours with my Nikon gear in the rain with no problems and my requirements for transitioning to Fuji are the same. I wouldn’t submerge it but a little rain should be covered. Maybe not the flashes but when I use the 50-140 I have the Thinktank rain cover.
