Other considerations I didn't touch on in this video to keep it simple and short(er) are maximum exposure time. Mechanical shutter can stay open for up to one hour. Also, flash sync speeds. These vary from camera to camera but with the X-H2S in MS, the max sync speed is 1/250 and in ES it's 1/125. I think most cameras don't allow you to sync flash in ES ... so, lot's of complicated variables.

Also, regarding dynamic range. My comparison images do seem to indicate that there is less color information and worse noise in the Electronic Shutter images versus Mechanical Shutter, but according to the metadata in Fujfilm X RAW Studio, the ES images do retain 14-bit depth. It's entirely possible that Fuji is fudging the data in their own processing plugin, but it's the only program or website that's shown that bit of metadata

How about when using flash with the xh2s. Since it is a stacked sensor. Is there a difference of using mechanical vs electronic shutter?

Yeah, there is a difference in flash sync speeds. I didn’t cover that because it’s not something I have any experience with. I don’t remember what the exact speeds are, but you can find them on the specs page

When I use to shoot with 1/8000s in MS and EF , the Image become darker than the view on LCD or EVF, is that the normal or my camera got issue please help ?

Are you in Manual mode? If so, do you have PREVIEW EXP./WB IN MANUAL MODE set to OFF?

@@minthantkophotographer8561 Hmm ... I'm not sure if it's a bug or if there is some other setting that's affecting the preview before you take the shot. In the meantime, if you're not already doing so, pay attention the the exposure meter and/or histogram to make sure that you're getting a good exposure regardless what the LCD looks like

In that clip, the X-T5 seems to be working normally, is that right? Is there any difference in the settings between the two cameras? I honestly don't know, it looks like a glitch.
