Fujifilm X-Pro1 in 2022

This is one of my all-time favourites. It's hard to believe, that it's been 10 years ago since this camera was released. I fell in love with it's retro rangefinder-style design. Outstanding. Technically there are many quirks. But if you can handle it, it's no problem. Thr most important thing is the imagequality. And this is, where it shines. The first generation of the x-trans sensors was very special. The colors looks very filmic, organic. In the settings you can tweak a lot, but not so much like in the newer ones. But as always, limitations makes you more focused on the important things...
The adapting of old and manual lenses is one the best parts of this camera. It's so much fun to play with. Really a camera for fun and serious photography.

FYI, old Nikon FM, FE models diopters will fit the XPro1, but the strength must be set to 1 meter from your nose

Nice shots and movie! I've got an X-Pro3 but my " shooting for fun and with fun" is my X-Pro1 I've a filmsim on y X-Pro3 that I call X-Pro1, simply because it's my favourite. Ofcourse the X-Pro1 is a lot slower, so I call it my " Zen camera ".

I have owned mine since 2014 and can’t bear to part with it. I’m going through an update of computer and software and that is proving to be a struggle. I may have to give up shootingraw for fine jpgs converted to tif before minor darkroom adjustments in Silver Efex pro 3. But I can handle it. I’m not parting with my mint XPro 1, 35mm f1.4 and 28mm f2.

Nice video! I too have returned twice to the XPRO1 for exactly the same reasons as you have described. I use it with the 18mm F2, 35mm F2 and have a Helios manual lens which produces beautiful bokeh! Also have a Fuji X-70 for the streets. Keep up the great work 👊

I got my x pro1 less than 1 month ago and paired it with a Zeiss 25mm F2.8 ZF lenses. Love it. ❤❤❤

You can buy a replacement diopter for the X-Pro1. All you need to know is your prescription. Do a search for Nikon 19mm correction eyepiece. I use a +1.0 adjustment. To find yours, go into a chemist or shop that sell those cheap off the counter glasses and try on a few pairs seeing which ones give you the best eye relief. It took me a few tries to get it bang on though. Too strong and the EVF is fantastically crisp and clear, but the OVF is blurred and vice versa.
