Great video, it was nice to see someone talk about the video capabilities of this camera, since most reviews cover its photo side more. I think it will be interesting to see how content creators use this camera. That is part of the reason I bought this camera. I don't know if I will use those features, but they intrigue me. It would be nice to see more information about using the camera manually, all in one place. Right now I am looking for information about how to use the features and only gleaning one or two new bits of information from a video. In time I am sure I will get to be more comfortable with its features, but right now I feel pretty ignorant about the camera.

I bought the X-S20 yesterday :) but I can't say I'm super impressed with the video AF on the X-S20, I'm looking at the Sony A6700 as well. The Fuji has 6.2k open gate, 2 more stops of IBIS, better webcam with film sims, no overheating in video, better battery, better screen, joystick, fuji colours, some unique great lenses - so that's a lot to love! - but if you're not in focus, what's the point?
 
I like that Sony have bulletproof autofocus no matter what, making it so easy for filming myself, focus breathing correction (those F2 Fuji primes have terrible focus breathing!), 120fps 4k is cool, water resistance, higher ISO range (better in low light?), the same lenses are normally 20-30% cheaper for Sony. I'm very torn if to keep the X-S20 or to get the Sony! - Any thoughts?

I saw another review that mentioned the AF issue mostly occurred when both face and eye tracking were on .Turning off the eye tracking but leaving the face tracking on improved the AF.

Personally, both the x-s20 and a6700 are great, just depends on your needs. But one key thing to consider that @zerotonine807 mentioned is that fujifilm recently released another update that improved autofocus and also make sure your lens firmware is up to date :) Hope this helps!

@@MomentTutorials Yeh, the new firmware update makes it a tiny bit better in certain specific scenarios but a hell of a lot worse in others. It's the X-T3 3.0 firmware all over again, Fuji just can't seem to get autofocus right. It's very finicky, some lenses are better than others but it still will randomly see a face in a brick wall behind you and focus there. It works great in a controlled studio environment (even there not always).

While I was shooting in product showcase mode, I had auto wb, auto exposure, auto everything which was just for demonstration but you can switch to manual functions like wb, and iso to avoid changing of the scene :)

Just got a quick question. At first, thank you so much for the helpful video, had a small crisis because I couldn't find F-Log after switching from Canon to Fuji. I do have movie optimized control on but still can't control shutterspeed and Aperture. It's kinda grey and I can't change anything. Would love if you've got a quick tip

Thanks so much for watching! 1. Go into the quick menu and be sure you're mode is manual 2. in the menu you'll want to look for turn flog assist on and thata will make the screen look much less flat while you still get flog 2. Hope this helps! - Victor

Hey thanks for watching! If you’re more interested in photography, the xt-30 II is a photo centric camera while the x-s20 has more video centric features like flipout screen, vlog mode, and 10 bit color depth. Overall we love both cameras but totally up to your preferences!

But the good news is that both cameras have the same x-trans 4 sensor! The x-s20 does have a newer processor that helps with autofocus though

@@MomentTutorials I used to have x-t20 (same body as x-t30) and as a left eye shooter, found that it was too small to hold the camera and look through the viewfinder with the left eye. Perhaps this will not be a problem with the X-S series due to the longer body. Just something to be aware of that you will not notice until you try the camera.

The XS10 and XS20 both have IBIS which for me is a B I G deal. T 30ll does not. Consensus reviews claim the grip on the XS is the best in the Fuji line up. I had the XS10 and can tell you for walking around with a wrist strap it is an easy camera to hold on to, especially as you consider acquiring heavier lenses. As you tell I would advocate for the XS 20 or XS10

I cannot get the record button on the DJI SC gimbal to work with the camera, tried putting the MIC/REMOTE RELEASE to the remote option, worked on the setting for the MIC jack settings as well, Nothing works, any ideas, ?

I'd recommend calling fujifilm cutomer service 1-800-800-3854 (Press 2 for x series) to figure out the issue because it should flash once opened

Thank you so much. But why fujifilm does not offer an external battery charger?? By charging internally, does the camera not overheat to the point of requiring a rest period before use?? Something that can slow down

Hi Is this camera right for wedding videography. I like the high packed features but many youtubers claim it does over heat. But i shoot mostly on 1080 so Can this camera handle the overheating problem. Waiting your valuable advice.

This camera could be great for wedding photography! Great features and value, we didnt experience any over heating shooting in weather around 70-80 degrees Farenheit. But it could potentially overheat in extreme weather shooting 6k. However if you plan on 4k with some 1080p then you should be fine just be sure to stock up on batteries for those long wedding days!

If you just want great colors out of the camera no need to change to any log settings just leave as is and pick your color profile with the left dial!

I will say, I love the simplified button layout and built in flash on the xs20! The xt5 is great as well just depends if you want simplicity and a flip out screen or higher mp count and some more photo centric features of the xt5

30 minutes before overheating warning I believe, but I have seen it record for longer as it’s just a warning not the hard limit.

I since discovered that shooting in 10 bit 4.2.2, in any mode, will stop recording after 43-45 minutes. If you use Long Gop, then you can record up to 5 hours non-stop. Still, it's a very big discrepancy between 10 bit and 8 bit. Not good enough for me.

Totally depends on the shooting environment (how hot it is when shooting) and also if you're shooting straight or turning the camera off in between takes. I shot 4k and 6.2k on and off throughout the day and got no overheating warnings, and weather was around 75-85 degrees
