Still my favorite to use XT-2. Sure, my XH2s has better autofocus, image quality, iso capability, etc. - but nothing feels quite like using an XT-2 with a 35 f2. Just a tiny little set up, completely solid. You can really get in touch with the tool, and not see it is a distraction out of the moment. I wish I would have sold my XT-3 instead.

With some patient shopping I found a really good deal on a barely used X-T3 and 18-55 kit that was too good to turn down. And, it was all still in the box and wrapped like new. I also got the extra grip with it and some extra batteries. Until I found that deal, I was definitely looking a the X-T2 and almost pulled the trigger on it a few times. But, at that time it seemed like most of the sales were body only. So, when the X-T3 kit came along I jumped on it. Three years later I still have that camera and really love it.

I regrettably sold my X-T2 a couple years ago in favor of full frame but today, I bought another one along with the 18-55 and 35 1.4. Back in business with the small kit again. Hauling around a 24-70 f2.8 was getting tiresome. You're right, the camera manufacturers are pushing everyone into video cameras whether they shoot vids or not. Going beyond the X-T2 offers only marginal improvements in still images albeit the more recent film simulations are enticing. I don't don't shoot moving subjects so the AF is fine and carrying an extra battery isn't a big deal.

If price is the same or close I would go with the X-T2 to me it has better ergonomics and feels better to shoot with. The image quality in both are the same but you get a couple bonuses with the X-T2, including: weather sealing, tilting rear screen, dual card slots, ISO dial and 1/8000 max mechanical shutter. But if you see an X-E3 for significantly cheaper then it’s a good choice. They’re both great
@robinlennon4752 Жыл бұрын
For me the X-Trans 3 sensor models hit the sweet spot of price to performance and features. My X100F+X-E3+X-Pro2 Graphite+X-H1 cost me less than a new X-T5, that's what I call value in the Fuji system. I added likely my last Fuji to my X-Series collection last month, the X-H1, I thought that had hit the ultimate value for money level - I paid $650 equivalent mint from MPB. The ergonomics, IBIS and overall build quality were the main attractions over and above the normal features I'm more than happy with. Don't disagree with your assessment of the value in an X-T2 in today's market.
@CraigBergonzoni Жыл бұрын
You have an awesome collection there! And I'm with you on the X-Trans 3 lineup in general. I just picked up a used X-Pro2 again. I owned it for a brief bit before but sold it. Trying it again now. I too went with an XH1. I wasn’t looking for it. I check Craigslist daily and found the XH1 with the Fuji 23 f2, a non Fuji 50 and 135mm lens and adapter for $600. The lenses are worth near what I paid for this package. Also received a 2nd nonfuji battery plus a camera bag. The seller was giving up photography. I wanted the grip. Found an excellent grip for $35 from MPB. Awaiting delivery. Don’t know which FW I have. The 2.1 gave the XH1 better autofocus and some addition features. The XH1 is more video oriented than the XT2. It has better build Body. For me, the additional size and weight is a drawback. I do street photography so the XH1 will not be my 1st choice of bodies. This was a deal I couldn’t pass up. I have the same sensor and processor as the XT2. I think of my XH1 as a bigger and heavier XT2. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)

To be honest, based on your needs, I'd recommend the A6500, A6100 (it can't shoot in log tho, but might be the cheapest of all three), or the ZV-E10 (it can record gyroscope data). Just go with whichever is the cheapest of the three. Spec-wise, the two Fujis might be better, but they lack good lens selection and software support. PS: If you have a little more budget, wait until summer, the ZV-E10 Mark II might be crazy good for its expected price.
