I'm so happy that digital cameras have moved to an era where the image quality is basicly perfect in all of them and we can just focus more on personal preference. I mean of cource it has always been like that to some extent, but in the last 5 years it has really become more and more true that every camera is more then good enough for almost everything.

I upgraded from an X-T2 to an X-T4 so I'll add my two cents for anyone who may care or be in the same place. Not to disagree with Omar here, but I will; IMHO the only reason to buy (note: buy not upgrade) an X-T2 or X-T3 over the X-T4 is the money. It's a better camera than both in every regard. Not wanting to have so much $ wrapped up in your camera body is 100% valid and if that's the case, get a used X-T3 if you can swing it. If, however, you're thinking of buying the X-T2/3 over the X-T4 because those are "just as good", they are not. There will be no difference in image quality between the 3 and the 4 as it's the same sensor, however, the benefits of IBIS should not be understated. It's a game changer. I don't know anyone who shoots only in perfectly sunny daytime conditions. If that's the case, use an iPhone 11 Pro as it will take stunning pictures in good light. IBIS makes previously ungettable shots gettable (I know that's not a word) and greatly expands options in poor light. Ever want to take a shot at f4 or 5.6 in low light in order to achieve the depth of field or sharpness you're looking for? Guess what, the X-T4 can do it, the 2/3 can't without bumping the ISO way up to unusable levels. That alone is worth it to me. The IQ between the 2 and the 3/4 is 100% noticeable to my eye. Even in Omar's example here in the first minute of the video, I could see the difference. Put it up on a larger monitor or a TV and it will be extremely apparent. If you don't think you need the video stuff, I didn't either, but now that I have the 4 I'm finding I shoot video more often. It's so easy and seamless and I'm really liking the results especially with OIS lenses. The flippy screen on the 4 is annoying for the first couple days but you'll get used to it and it really is better for video. The larger size is really negligible. You can't fit the 2, 3, or 4 in your pocket comfortably so you'll end up bringing a bag or strap and, at that point, who cares? If size is that big a concern, get the X-T30. The larger size is actually more comfortable to hold in my hands especially with the larger lenses (YMMV of course). Sorry to prattle on but I hope it helps someone! I agonized over the decision and more points of view is always better than fewer.

I bought a used XT2 for $600 and really love the Fuji experience. I have a Sony A6600 and the Sigma trio of primes which work great in most situations, but I love the Fuji experience and the colors/film simulations. My Sony has IBIS, but I really don't miss it much in the XT2. I've been using a cheap 15-45 kit lens (that came with an X-t100 that I bought for my wife) and have been blown away by the colors and sharpness. Your lens reviews and recommendations are gold and will really help me with lens decisions in the future.

I've just traded my x-e4 for an x-t2 - It might sound crazy to some but for how I shoot and for what I use the x-t2 isn't a downgrade. In fact, the extra stop of mechanical shutter speed, no touch screen (my focus point moves with the touch screen turned on which drives me crazy) and a more rugged body all count as upgrades to me. I live in the UK and changeable weather makes me nervous with the x-e4. I came from shooting Pentax, so I'm used to being able to take my camera anywhere. Granted, the X-T2 might not be as rugged as a K-3 but it's close. I'm very happy with my switch, plus I got money back on the trade in!

Here's my issue with the flippy screen vs. not having one. ( I have both styles on different systems) I like them BOTH: I appreciate the flippy in difficult- and tight quarter- shooting situations where I need to have the screen at odd angles to frame a scene which my subjects may be moving...or to position my body at a 45 degree angle to discretely shoot this or that and still see the screen; or for helping a subject frame themselves selfie style etc. etc., but when I am out and about with my X-T2 with "just" the pull up/down/vertical screen, I love the compact nature of it and seldom miss the flipper. Each is just a tool in the end and as many sensible pros point out, it's ALL about how you will use said tool and if you actually need this or that feature.. (For me it's similar to the feature of a million frames per second or whatever shooting stills; I mean, not being a sports shooter earning a living by getting just that ONE moment in a million, I simply do . not. care. at. all. This goes also for the megapixel wars.(Anyone remember the Canon Rebels with what 10, 12 m's? I still have shots in my portfolio from this! Not to mention my film cameras) Anyway, back to the flippy vs not having one, I'm sure it's easy for me to say this because I've worked with an an articulating screen for years- perhaps I'm bored with them(?) but yeah, there is just something I really like about the X series without it. Can it be practical to have a flippy? Sure. Will you look like Uncle Bob with a camcorder? A little. (*but who cares haha.) But what do YOU need for YOUR needs in real life...in actual terms of usage? Don't be the guy who spends thousands just for the thrill of having the latest and greatest only to sell it for hundred months down the line...or the guy who has the latest and greatest camera but can't use it because he can't afford data storage space, a pc to edit the huge files, lights, better glass, fuel or means to get where you need to be to shoot. etc. etc. etc. Learn to love what you have and you'll have what you love. :-) Only upgrade if you genuinely neeeeed it. Ok. I'm done. Get the flippy. Get the non-flippy. Just get on with your life and capture life. Ok, NOW I'm done. Promise. :-)

Forward on to the Xpro1 and a great sale I got into the fujifilm system. The lenes are fantastic quality, and the are a great price for what the are. The quality the images from the sensor on the xpro1 and xh1 (I also got a fantastic deal on this) means no processing on the computer for ever photo as they are all pretty much spot on. Don't forget about the XH1. Almost the same price as the xt2 on the used market, same features and with sensor stabilization

Lol that intro was truly entertaining. I love my x-t2, never even considered needing to upgrade. However, I am thinking about getting the x100v for a different form factor and shooting experience.

it's always a great time watching at your videos. XT2 is an amazing camera definitely, I have it for a year now and every day is a joy. I love watching the new features of the cameras I don't need, though.

Got the xt-2 a couple of month's ago used. Came with the 23mm f2 and 2 og battery's. Love that camera. Got a 14mm 2.8 and a 35mm f2 in the last 3 months. Thinking about the 55-200 now.. Honestly I think I'm going to get the xt-4 but about 2-3 years from now. I much rather widen my lens collection first..

You were right when you said the best camera will depend on the viewer, but that’s a given. Anyway, nice comparison which I really enjoyed watching. A big thumbs up from me!

I have an XT10 and an XT2. I don't plan on upgrading any time soon. It's like when you get a new mobile, maybe a "faster" one comes out the following year but it doesn't make your existing one any worse

Great video. I am a happy X-T3 owner and no plans to upgrade. With that said, while the price of the X-T4 is approaching full frame, you need to consider the cost of lenses and the size of lenses. IMO, that is where the cost of ownership analysis needs to be considered.

I still use an X-T1 which doesn't even have the rubber grip anymore, haha. Planning on upgrading to X-T2 soonish! Maybe next year? Seriously, the X-T1 to X-T2 was the greatest leap forward for my uses and it's so good value now. I need neither IBIS nor video. I'd like the X-T2's improved speed (shorter black screen interruptions), better sensor and improved AF.

I have a blast watching your videos. Love the intro! Hilarious. You're probably one of the reasons I ended buying a Fujifilm XT-30 and loving it. Although, it would have been nice to have the ISO dial from the XT3. The XT4 just seemed too big and costly for just getting back into photography.

Great intro Omar - that was hilarious and well done! With regrets I’m selling the X-T2. I have the T4 and H1, and Fuji is my “A” system, so I’m not really concerned about getting the smallest sized camera. In fact, the T4 and H1 feel better with the 16-55 & 50-140. But you’re right - the T2 is a heck of a camera and if I didn’t have the H1, I’d be happy with it as a B and street cam.

Omar You nailed the Intro 🤣🤣👌....now that's creativity right there! Still rocking my Xt2 en loving it too....Will only upgrade when my pocket says so for now will invest in lenses as Fuji has beautiful lenses out there and for now that's what my heart longs for!...Thanks for the review 😊✌

Still have 2x XT1 bodies I love the colour science of this camera sensor the XT2 is still in my stable but now my X-H1s reign supreme. It will be interesting to see what the X-H2 brings over the XT4 hopefully in 2021 !

As a still photographer, the only things that make me want to upgrade the XT2 are the new sensor and IBIS. It would make my 90mm f2 much more usable in low light. However, there are many things I don't like about the XT4. Replacing metering mode with video buttons is a big blow for me since I change metering all the time. The fully articulating screen is also not very useful for me compared to the tilting screen. All in all, I still stick with my XT2 and am waiting for Fuji to release a photographer-focus camera with a new sensor and IBIS in the future.

Great video, I have just purchased the XT-2, as I already own 2 XT-1 cameras. I have not received it yet, but within my budget I hope to add a Fuji alternative to my Nikon 24mp D3300 entry camera.
