I don't know of a place that sells this adapter, which always has been hard to fine. Here is a link to a discussion thread that provides details about how to make one and how to purchase one from a particular person, though this thread is eight years old: www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3570304. I hope you can find one through this source.

So how do you hold the camera with the microphone wire plugged into the mini USB outlet and with the connector cover open? I personally don't like the idea of even attaching a strap into it because of the camera size, which is very small to hold with my right hand, and the strap just obstructing your thumb to operate the exposure compensation dial, and also your index finger with the shutter. So I didn't put the strap and I find it so convenient and easy to put inside my pocket or in my hip-sack.

I didn't have a problem holding the camera; you may have to push the cable to one side. Also, I often use a tripod, and I don't have to worry about how to hold the camera in that case.

Alex White Yea, it's not really a problem holding the camera. But for reason of practicality and convenience, it's not ideal to use this camera with the aforementioned accessories attached considering of its size, where the camera is much suited for snap shot photography; save, of course when there is no other cameras available to use other than this one, then you will be force to adapt into its system. For video work, a DSLR is more practical to use, and is about lesser in price.

Yes, that should be no problem. I have not done that myself, but I found this one online that looks as if it would work well: www.amazon.com/dp/B00W77LAAI/?tag=whiknipre-20. I'm sure there are many other possibilities. Just find one that can attach to the tripod socket on the bottom of the camera.

Does the rapid snapr strap/sling screw clip get in the way of the battery compartment door? I bought a cheaper version and I can't remove the battery and memory card without first unscrewing the mounting clip

I'm pretty sure the screw assembly does not interfere with the compartment door. I can't check, because I recently sold my camera, but I checked the screw and clip, and they do not extend very far to the side. So, I am fairly confident there's no problem, but I can't be 100% sure.

No, no special cleaning. I do try to keep it away from dirt and the elements. Also, maybe the bright lighting for the video made it look especially clean.

I wish they could improve the video to make it more like a camcorder. Reduce rolling shutter sensitivity is number one like camcorders have. If possible add image stabilization. address other issues like moire and aliasing and anything that would hinder video. Add higher bit rate of 50 mbps IPB.

I have sold my camera, so I can't double-check, but my recollection is no, with the adapter on the camera, the Fujifilm leather case will not fit, or will be too tight. Here is a link to a discussion on this point: www.dpreview.com/forums/post/51419087.

There is a cheaper alternative to using the Apple adapter to replace the power cord on the battery charger. I ordered a couple SF Cable 2 prong right angle plug adapter on Amazon for $6.25 each to replace the bulky stiff cords on my Fujifilm and Olympus chargers.

I hate those 2.5 mm jacks. Panasonic came to its senses installing the 3.5 jack on its GH3 (GH2 had a 2.5 mm jack) but now I see Fuji doing the same retarded thing. Anyways, I am not planning to use x100s for video, so never mind :)
