Thanks for so much great info. One thing I query is at 9.09 image quality you recommend uncompressed. I think lossless compressed might be better. It's smaller and as the name suggests, loss less

This was very detailed. I recently shot a sit down interview with the XT4, Fringer adapter, Sigma 18-35 Handheld in F-Log. The footage hunted and wobbled a bit, sometimes it took time to find focus. For sit down interviews maybe it's best to set the rig on a tripod and use eye detect to catch micro movement or set focus in manual mode then for B-roll following talent pull focus. Wondering if you have any suggestion under these conditions. Thanks for sharing, very useful information.
@Tim-Koenig2 жыл бұрын
Hey man! I would Film any interview from a tripod with manual focus. Focus on the subjects eye and when the person doesn’t move that much it should be fine. For interviews the AF of the sigma is not usable…too loud and hunting.

Well I’m definitely gonna be trying to invest in the XT4 in the next month or two, it has all the bells and whistles I need out of a high end APSC. I love my a6400 because of its auto focus, and high quality images but it still feels lacking in some regards. I really don’t feel like paying 3500 for an A7siii just to get 10bit and high quality codecs. I feel like for the price the XT4 is the best bang for buck. I also don’t own any canon glass so I’d probably go native, or buy 3rd party lenses. I actually have a pair of vintage Takumar lenses which I absolutely love. The 24mm F3.5 and 50mm F1.4

Very very thorough masterclass for this beast of a camera. Thank you for putting in the time/effort to help us all out. I liked your video and subscribed to your channel!

Great video. Something worth mentioning though is that Sigma is going to be providing lenses for Fuji's X-Mount soon. Might be worth waiting on those rather than purchasing a Sigma lens for the Canon system with the EF to FX adapter. It'll be much cheaper and I imagine it may perform better with autofocus.

Is it better to have fixed or variable ND filters? thanks :)

Dear Tim, in first place, thank you so much for letting us know more about this wonderful camera. I live in Uruguay, therefore I have to import anything I want to use with Fuji xt4. Would you be so kind to help me a bit? I have some beautiful tamron lenses, which could be adapted through the fringer adaptor, one of them is the 15-35mm and the other one I really like is the 85mm (all of them for canon which is my other camera) I started filming a very short time ago and I am still learning how to properly use the camera for that purpose. Have you tried any of those lenses yet? My main aim is nature photography, but I love to film bird species at their environment. Yet I don't think that my tamron 150-600 will make a good choice for filming birds lol. Please any advice would be so welcome. Just take into account that I use glasses (Almost blind of one eye) and that I am not so young to carry heavy weight cages or stuff like that! THank you in advance! just subscribed :) Best regards for you and your loved ones.

Damn, I just found your channel and I’ve had the Fuji x-t4 for months now…thanks for the free LUTs and I can barely wait to use them whenever I’ll shoot something on my camera. I have to buy a variable ND for the damn F-Log footage since it goes with 640 base ISO:(((….I have the 18-55, 23mm 1.4, and 90mm f2 atm and I’m waiting on tamron to release some lenses.

Thanks for this video! I'm selling my Sony A6400 and thinking to move to X-T4. What is your opinion regarding the IBIS for handheld video? Do you face any wobbling effect on corners? 4k60 10bit and IBIS are probably the main reason I'm selling my camera.
@rvquire3 жыл бұрын
@@Tim-Koenig Since I can't trust the ibis and still have some weird effects on pannings and fast movements, especially with vintage glass, I'm moving to bmpcc4k and keep my a6400 to shoot some stills. 🙏🙏

Hello Tim, I wonder if you might know, how to turn on the option (in AF-S mode) to give you a green square (focus point - area focus) when it is focused during recording video on XT4? Before the recording is working (in photo mode and video mode), but not during recording. The focus square goes green only when something is sharp, but this does not happen during recording (it focuses, but does not give a green sign that it is focused) In the XT3 it is in the default settings, both video recording and photography. Thank you in advance. I hope you understand me, on the Xt4 the square does not turn green during shooting when a certain subject is in focus. How to change it on Xt4? thank you in advance and here is link which demonstrates the problem : kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6bIoKloo5iJZ68
