FUJIFILM XT4 REVIEW AND WHY YOU NEED ONE IN 2023

Today I look at the Fujifilm XT4 and why I love Fujifilm for Landscape Photography.

I was a Sony user for 15 years. When the “plandemic” started sold all my gear. Few months ago friend of mine borrowed me his new xt4 because he want to sell it. After a week use I bought it because make me shoot every day. A month later just bought a second “like new” xt4 body. The two cost about the same like a xt5. I was thinking to get a xt3 for second body but for extra £300 I got ibis, new battery, the photo/ video selector. I love the shutter, the film simulations.

Thanks for this review. I have 2 x XT3's, 2 x XT4's and 2 x XH2's all very capable and the XT4 is in the sweet spot to my eyes. IBIS, great video quality and low noise.

Man, so many cameras you have! I'm torn between t3, t4, t5. I like the tilt screen more than flip and also want the IBIS. Not sure which camera should i get. Is t5 worth the money? I think it is too costly and i dont need the 40 MP sensor. Does the large file size of the images cumbersome to transfer to pc/mobile?

Great video...i was planning to upgrade my XE4 to XT5 but have been recently thinking about XT4..mainly due to 40% cheaper in price and i dont need 40mp.

Nice overview. I've literally bought the X-T5 and it's taken me about 3 days working out the menus, and all of today to physically get the Hank of it (16-80 Len's) and really enjoying it. I still use my Nikon (for now 😮).

Good Review, This is probably the best-value Mid-range Camera in the market. Especially buying used. It has everything from a prosumer to a pro-user.

I have the XS10 with the exact same sensor, new to fuji and opted for something more friendly first. I now realize that I need the 14 bit 4k video and the dual memory slot not to mention the weather sealing lol

I have an XT-4 and although image quality is excellent it has its faults that nobody seems to mention when doing a review of this camera. Overheating is just worst, much worse than R6's for example. In 4K you have to be in the North Pole if you want to avoid "camera shutting down due to overheating". And IBIS is terrible, he adds to the shaking of a camera, not the opposite. My question to you is why you didn't mention this, it is something hard to miss?

Ahh good point about the overheating, I only tested the stills as I don’t do video, thanks for the information though it might help videographers in their decision over this camera.

Do you need the IBIS for video? Because if you don’t the xt3 is a good price used and you could get a lens that has IS on it, I haven’t used an XT5 but yeah I’d imagine it’s a jump up in file sizes from the 26MP sensor, XT3 will also be lighter than the other two models.

New firmware and new app has been released. My main gripe with Fuji is prices of their prime lenses. Way to overpriced for for they offer.

Out of interest, is the video quality from the FX30 better than the Xt4? More cinematic to the eye??

Well the Sony FX30 does 4K 120p and has 14 stops of dynamic range, I haven’t tested that camera though so I can’t say how the ISO performance compares to the XT4 but I imagine it does a good job, both are compact and lightweight models ideal for videography and both feature IBIS

The X T4 was my reason to leave the XF system. No relevant firmware updates since release, completely unreliable eye AF. The XH2 changed my mind.
