Incredible cinematography. Why Fujifilm isn't Netflix approved is beyond me.

this is actually quite bad footage....sorry but the low light is all wrong, I doubt this is to do with the camera rather an underexposed file with a loss of recovery...I hope because I am seriously on the fence with this camera.

@@johncalhoun916His point is that any camera can really shoot this. An fx3, blackmagic or even an older canon. With Fuji’s medium format, we should be able to see footage that showcases its wider dynamic range Unless its so minimal in difference compared to full frame

@@HAlariousInc I'm not sure what you mean when you write "any camera." I'm responding because I want to make films and these images give me the feeling that I feel when I really like an image, if that makes sense. I will admit to a bias because of how much I love black and white images. But I also get a sense of uniqueness, something subtle between the images that different cameras produce. Having said that, I've read articles and watched interviews from some cinematographers that say that at a certain level you can any camera look like any camera in post/color. Is this what you mean? and what shooting context would offer a better demonstration of its dynamic range?.

@@johncalhoun916 It sounds like you are more interested in the look/feel of the footage rather than the camera itself. A camera itself does not create good images, the artist with their vision does. Look into color grading, anyone with experience/skill can recreate this look with a camera that is capable of a high enough dynamic range (most full frame mirrorless and up). Any full frame camera can do this, don’t get wrapped up in buying a camera thinking it will suddenly create better images for you. Its about lighting, blocking, and color grading.

@@HAlariousInc I get a sense of how you received my comments. I appreciate your response. To offer you a better context for my statement, as a middle aged man, I've been an artist (painting, graffiti, writing, performance) for several decades. I have also studied the deeper underpinnings of narrative and human psychology to further my ability to create character for a similar amount of time. I have worked on different kinds of productions for the last 25 years. I shot my first film on the Canon XL1. I have studied lighting enough to have a useful discussion with my DP about the kind of look I want, and I am obsessive about how I experience the nuances of cinematic language. It is, however, almost laughable about how little I know about the higher levels of color grading. I am also ignorant to the subtle differences between high level lenses (i.e. Zeiss vs Cooke) I am the furthest thing away from someone who thinks "hey, I'll just buy a Canon C-70 (another camera I really like) and my film will be great." However, most of my confidence is in my creative vision. I just get overwhelmed by specs at this point. I love the flexibility and usability of a camera like the RONIN 4D 8K but I wonder how good can the footage look in the hands of someone who is an expert in post? I get confused by the endorsements from cinematographers whose work I love and whose opinions I respect. I have heard cinematographers who work at the highest levels liken different cameras to different kinds of film stock. I have taken this to mean that different cameras produce different kinds of images and that my eyes are not lying to me. But I cannot dismiss that money is involved as well. This is part of why I asked you what conditions would be best see a capacities for dynamic range is because I am trying to further educate my eye.
What makes this camera worth $7500?
