Also, what is the grading process anyway, like if I made a sword in Wano, which is an isolated country, how would the outside world grade it and add to the list of swords? And what happens if a sword gets destroyed (such as the Yubashiri ) who is going to inform the list maker that one of the listed item is now gone for good? This whole thing makes me wonder if "unranked" just means no official grade was granted by what ever organization that grades them, and has no direct relations with how good the weapon really is, like Kaido's club can't be weaker than a Wazamono, can it?

Maybe Figarland Garling could have the next one? It seems appropriate considering his position and as an important world noble having access to one seems quite possible. As for name, I wanted to focus on the connection to the gorosei and the celestial dragons. So I did a bit of research (I don't know japanese at all so the translation could be super off) and ended up with Rōsei Meiyo no Ha (should be pronounced Roh-sei Mei-yoh no Ha) which (if I understood everything correctly) means "Edge of the Honor of the Stars".

Gravity is weaker than electromagnetism by multiple orders of magnitude, but that’s in our world and not the One Piece world. Still, a fully awakened and mastered Jiki Jiki no Mi (Kidd’s fruit) could start messing with the planet’s core, magnetic fields, destroy ecosystems and stuff. Not to mention pulling asteroids just as effectively as gravity, if not more, since asteroids are very metallic.

@@ToasterPizzaFun yeah agreed the Jiki Jiki no mi with assign abilities used correctly would be more OP due to armourment and observation haki limiting the Zushi Zushi no Mi more effectively. though it does have more flexibility and versatility in exchange for overall strength. basically a low-medium strength targeted AOE & Mobility counter long range ability (ISSHO) VS high strength primary target/ secondary AOE effect close-meduim range ability (Kid) Also Don't forget about the Fuwa Fuwa no Mi though for tiered fruits relating to mass manipulation based powers :)

@@ToasterPizzaFun devil fruit combo's is where it is at strength wise though... the Ope Ope no Mi room (capture) Bari Bari no Mi barrier (safety barrier/trap enemy) (through specialised shapes) Nikyu Nikyu no Mi (taticial approach/withdraw/healing/anti-fatigue/asphyxiate trapped enemies) Shōrai Shōrai no Mi (target location prediction/operational saftey) Wapu Wapu no Mi (greater barrier/movement flexibility) Shiro Shiro no Mi (far greater targeting coordination/ ability utilisation/ supply management / home base ) Honestly if you have a well coordinated squad of 14 people, just those six devil fruits can guarantee a draw or victory, with the near impossibility of been ambushed and no fatigue meaning the potential for constant ability and Haki use/strengthing. Also due to the warping anti-fatigue and fortress no ship would be required

i think the reason why shisui isnt supreme grade is simply because oda didnt want zoro to wield a supreme grade at such an early time in the story i bet that if shisui was in wano it wouldve been a supreme grade

yeah it could be the combination of the material(blacksmith)+haki(wielder). i imagine Shusui, being already a black blade, is already on max ceiling of the blade. Think of it on how powerful Ryuma was.

I think it could be justified by saying that shusui itself isn't actually that great of a blade, but ryuma was just so good with it and so famous that it was elevated to that status, but to make a saijo it must be flawless quality and a flawless user.

Of course Kaido has his Kanabo when he was sent plummeting through the ground. Whenever he switched to dragon form the weapon vanished, then when he switches back to human or hybrid form he has his weapon in his hand. Must be the principal of how everyone clothes always changes and never gets destroyed in the one piece world.

Personally, my head cannon When it comes to the Meto system The highest grade a Swordsmith can create is a Great Grade Blade/Ōwazamono but in order to reach Supreme Great Blade/Saijō Ōwazamono The user must take it's reputation and do great feats with it *(needs to be somewhat recorded/known I guess)* just like pirates and marines are known for their feats/strengths the sword must also be known *(as if it's a separate entity.... Could also relate to being a Black Blade?)* Probably harder for random blades with no name to reach any reputation, hence no name, so you have to treat them like it's a person. It's not impossible, I'm sure whenever a person starts to gather reputation for himself people would start talking "have you heard of Will the Pirate?" "Oh yea! He cuts down his enemies in a flash!" "I wonder if his sword is famous too!" Since this is OP where objects.... Like Ships, can have a name and a soul, why not swords.

Katanas makers mark is actually in the hilt. It's engraved into the tang. You have to disassemble the handle in order to tell if it's a legitimate sword or not. So it actually does make sense for any identifying part of the blade (asides from it being a black blade) would be within the hilt :3

My head cannon based on how Riuma's blade appears in both manga and anime is that supreme grade swords are the only ones that can turn fully black, and that lesser blades can never become fully black. Just head cannon but it would make sense. It takes a master swordsman to turn a blade black, but only a supreme grade blade can be fully turned black. Also, did you notice how Buggy's nr. 2 is the only swordsman beyond Riuma who keeps his blade always black?

I don't know about trusting that there are only 82 weapons of that power level. Tashigi's guide may have only listed 82, but that just means the person who wrote the guide only knew about 82. It can't really account for any blades that were lost ages ago and assumed destroyed or that were recently created or are wielded by people whose existence is secret (Imu, Gods Knights, Man Marked By Flames) or well-- the person who wrote the guide just flat out never encountered the weapon and tested it.

Imagine of Loki, or whoever the current ruler of Elbaf is, has one. I mean Yoru is kinda big, Kaidos Hassaikai is pretty damn big, but this one would be MASSIVE.
