Amazing you went from 2000 subs to 8200 subs from April to Sept. this year in 2022! Congrats! This gives hope to a lot of us just starting out. Also I thought someone would need about 40K subs to go full time however it is nice to know that someone might go full time with even far less subs promoting products with affiliates marketing and not just You Tube ads. Even with that, we need to learn and hone our presentations on You Tube to be successful. The key I believe, is making content just right that is searchable and a value to viewers, to get that first 1000 subs to monetize.

Mic attachment for sure. If it's quite windy you'll also need what's called a dead cat for the mic.

Thanks Hamid! A Fitness Channel, MMA Boxing channel etc can all be extremely lucrative but the monetization strategies would be very different from what I do on this channel. With my type of channel I focus very highly on affiliate marketing and digital products. With the Fitness industry you would probably go for online coaching/meal plans, selling online courses and possibly sponsors and some affiliate marketing if your audience is large enough. Overall a very profitable niche but a whole different beast compared to what I do on this channel.

Yeah man, cost of living is through the roof in the West. In many of these other countries it is also high for the local population but what puts you in a very strong position is when you live in those countries with a Western Salary or source of income that's not linked to the local economy. Here in Turkey you can teach English full time in a university and only get paid $1000 - $1200 per month so it's very attractive to do something online instead.

@@lc11s So much of the outcome depends on lighting though. Although I agree that it is better i still like the overall look of one of my old videos that was shot with the sigma 18-35 and m50 better. Its and old video about cinematic settings for the m50. Honestly what makes me like the look more than what I have now is the lighting and the color of the walls on the studio etc. So while I agree with you about the camera and lens combo I don't think that it is such a big difference to where it will make or break anything if you know what I mean.

Hello Dan. Yeah so originally I was a graphic designer. This is about 18 years ago. I just setup a store front that did graphic design, web design and printing (business cards, flyers etc). Then after running it for 4 years I put it up for sale on craiglist and that was that. I took the money and bought a house with it (half price due to 2008 housing forclosures). Lived in it for about 4 years and sold it. Took the money and moved to Malaysia. Started an MMA/Boxing Gym in Malaysia & had 2 more children. So now I have 5 children, still have the MMA/Boxing gym in Malaysia but I'm living in Turkey now. Children each come with their own blessings including financial. God provided for me every step of the way and nothing I have ever achieved has been due to my own merit. So yeah, now I am giving KZbin a shot. Hoping for the best! I prefer interchangeable lens cameras but if you like the look of action cameras then it will be fine. I have seen plenty of people with super successful channels that film everything on gopros or osmo action etc... Content and story are king.

Most expats do home school or private. Some countries have decent public education and let foreigners enroll however if you have the time to provide proper socialization and ability to teach using an online curriculum then home school is the best in this day and age in my opinion.
