The IIHF is really pushing 3x3 hockey (just had it at the Junior Olympics in S. Korea and are planning on introducing it to the Winter Olympics in the near future). The all-star game is also an event for kids and 3x3 is actually pretty fast pace and exciting (my kids play loads of 3x3 throughout the hockey season). Draft could have been more entertaining if the players weren’t so stiff but I don’t know if hockey players will ever not look like deer in headlights in front of a camera.

i think the point of the allstar game should be getting to see players who dont normally get to play together or against. they should split up guys on the same team. it would be more interesting. toronto was the host city so have mathews, marner, reilly and willy be the team captains going against each other.

I really don't get how they are picking all stars anymore. Rantanen, Parain, Point, Robertson and more are not all stars, but vatrano, bratt,Hertl, Jenner are in??? None of this draft bs, etc. The entire NHL has become a joke compared to what it use to be. Bettman cares more about the money then anything else. He's going to completely ruin the sport for many. I love all teams and players but it's getting harder and harder to watch anybody play in this league. I've been a fan for 35+ years and know 2 current NHL players but Bettman is not good for the sport or league.
