Been watching you as i took a break from an acrylic abstract im trying to do myself (a newbie) and its really incredibly helpful seeing your process. I adore your paintings id fill my house with them if i didnt live in a teeny london flat. You are deeply an abstract expressionist, and u have developed so fast, just 7 years since leaving your other career? U have a unique kind of style and approach on you tube also, which is so fantastic to be able to get to see all this!! Thank u for sharing your gift, u really are a brilliant painter, and very saleable i would imagine which is brilliant!! What a way to spend the years ahead! Inspirational, thank u!

Your comment was so kind. I knew when my mom got so sick that I needed to do what I heart was telling to do and that was create. I have not looked back. I think when you paint from your heart, not what you feel others want to see, it helps in the inspirational area. As I age and know life is important to live, I feel I can put all this passion into my art. I hope this comes through as this is a part of what I want others to feel in their art process!!! THANK YOU so much for your incredibly kind comment.

Note: this is my second time watching this video lol! I love watching this painting take shape Cheryl and your comments throughout are really helpful for me to keep track with why you're making the decisions you are and how etc. I like how to gently approached this picture,as it is a gentle, dreamy, ethereal kind of image, but half way thru it takes up a sttong centre with that white circle anfd suddenly looks like its making a statrment. So clever!!! I love your process, and having watched quite a few of your videos now I see that U do vary your approach and get different results accordingly. (Makes sense!!). Thanks, was a fab vid to watch a painting, like yours, from u, take shape. Appreciate that!😊 Kindest regards from London

I loved watching your whole process! I would definitely like to see more videos like this. And I also would like to see more videos on mark making. Thank you for your talent and generous spirit!

thank you for your comment. I am just now uploading a 1hour 43 min video on 11 small paper paintings where I go through several processes. I will certainly do more larger paintings and one with mark making, thank you for asking

Loving watching the process. I am wondering if you are painting to the music or if it was added later. And, btw, what is this wonderful music?

Sometimes I paint to music … a lot of times I don’t but the music I use due to the fact that KZbin will demonetize my videos. If I play music in the background, I pay for a subscription and it’s to epidemic music and they do have a lot of selections … some people like the music in the background some people say it’s distracting so I try to put it where I can to make the videos, a little more interesting and fun for you all

Cheryl, how long have you been doing abstract? And have you always been an artist?
@CherylWilsonArt8 ай бұрын
I’ve always wanted to be an artist, but my mother discouraged that because she was an academia and an author very smart woman she’s passed away and it’s when she was diagnosed with her Alzheimer’s dementia that I decided that the art world which was a world that I had put to the side needed to come to the forefront. I owned my own business so I could choose what contracts I wanted to do and I chose contracts where I could travel and be near her when she was sick and it was then that I started doing my abstract part time and started selling them, so it was right before the Covid broke out that I quit all my contracts and decided to go full-time as an artist, and I have not looked back since.

I loved this up to 42:00, the details were incredible, but then I feel it was destroyed after that
@CherylWilsonArt Жыл бұрын
thank you for watching. Most of the markings after 42 are more of who I am as an artist today. My art is not for everyone, which is the beauty of Abstract original paintings.

I did not speak in this video. You tube removed my music. I have since paid for music if I do future videos to avoid copyright issues
