Its sad to see Evan had various minor mistakes which prevented him from reaching a podium spot. He didn't quite lift the 425 lb stone, he took his hands off during the leg press, he didn't prepare properly for the 1000 lb deadlift, he should've tried the 410 lb log and not the 440 lb log. Its a shame because that would've been his biggest accomplishment of his short strongman career.

People should know, even though Tom Stoltman is the greatest in the world at loading stones, that wasn't always the case. Back in the day it used to be Magnus Samuelsson, Jessen Paulin, Arild Haugen. They could all lift a 385 lb stone which was always the heaviest, the 385 lb stone was the hardest stone for years until the 396 lb and 420 lb stones appeared in the late 2000s.
@AlasdairThompson3 ай бұрын
They sure did! But none of them made it look easy. Tom just one motioned 425lb (after doing the same to 400,375 and 350). They were the best of the their time but there's no real comparison to be made in stone lifting ability.
@Vampire__Squid3 ай бұрын
@@AlasdairThompson Yes there is a comparison, back in the day a 385 lb stone was very impressive. There was only a handful of strongman in the world that could lift it.

Would like to see them do away with that sticky tack , and do away with straps. Your grip strength should matter. , go back to all-around raw strengths. Get rid of these assisting cheats they use.
@petershortland4782 ай бұрын
It's not really cheating using tacky but straps are safety thing but they are doing away with figure of 8s

Tell me you don't lift without saying you don't lift. Grip is the first thing to go and when you tax your cns for strongman stuff it takes weeks to get back to normal

Northern Ireland isn’t part of Great Britain. Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom. Great Britain is the island that includes England, Scotland, and Wales. Northern Ireland isn’t part of that island. Maybe sit out criticizing Americans for being ignorant of your country when it’s clear that even you are ignorant about your country.

Looking strong and being strong are two different things. Bodybuilders train for size, not strength. You can literally lookup many strongmen and bodybuilders making collabs on youtube and you can see the differences, dummy.
