Josh, you are correct. MPPT… And roof full of panels, solar generator (not just batteries and inverter, check out creating something like built in Bluetti, or Max Pro systems). And like portable table, add portable movable ground mounted panels with MPPT plugs on the side.

This is one of the best "active couple" campers I have seen. Personally, I like the walk-through bathroom. I see hallway space as a tragic waste in a smaller camper. Good counter space, Boardwalk and Park Place entertainment and a fireplace! Two entries is great for travel, and the roof is big enough for a decent solar system. Good cargo capacity. Small enough to camp in a lot of places. Reasonably light. It's a winner in my book.

We picked up our 2023 Rockwood 2516 yesterday from Bish's in Coldwater. We drove all the way from VA! The Coldwater team was worth the drive! Ceia, our Outdoor Adventure rep could not have been more kind, generous, and thorough. Blane did our PDI walk through. We have bought 5 or 6 RVs and this was by far the best walk through. Blane was knowledgeable about the systems and options and was a patient instructor. Tyler and Dave made the finance process painless and Mike in parts helped us get a few essentials from the store. Thanks to Jeff Shumway the GSM for making sure we had all we needed. And, a huge TY to Uncle Josh for sharing your vast knowledge which led us to this unit and ultimately, to Coldwater!

As a 2021 owner, this is a great couples trailer. It has pluses and minuses as all trailers do. You just decide how to make it work for you. We have almost 4,000 miles on ours and there are no major issues.

We bought the 2021 one in Feb from you guys. Been out about 6 times, for 1-2 weeks at a time... love it! We could easily fit a months worth of clothes in the closet alone. I have sheets, towels, extra blankets, all our soaps, shampoos, kleenex, tp in the bath pantry and have so much space leftover. As for the fridge... i think they might have been worried if the doors opened the other direction they could get scratched by the drawer handles. We eat outside 90% of the time so the dinette wasnt a concern for us... especially since it kept us under 26 ft. If we decide to eat in, we just flip the legs down on the table and eat. No biggie.. Josh I wanted to let you know there's some storage bins that are just the perfect size for the tall outside storage. We have 5 bins stacked in there no problem. All the electrical, fresh water hoses, leveling blocks, sewage, all fit in their own storage container and it's great so we have the whole under bed storage for tons of other stuff. I know some of you commented you don't like the 2nd door, but its great if there was an emergency like a fire. Seconds count guys. We also use it the most in transit... there's no squeezing in to get to the bathroom like you have to do from the front door. You walk right on in. (Its in the 2021 video if anyone is curious.)

He lifts that and I put in the heavy 2 at the bottom. They actually go in better than I expected... we are not very strong people. I was going to say its like an elevator, but a Pez dispenser is a perfect description! 😆🤣

I really like that unit, that feels and looks about 4 foot longer than it really is. The 2205S and the 2514S also rank up there pretty high as well, the Mini Lite series is a really nice line of trailers.

Love this camper. Only drawback is that your living area windows all face your neighbours campsite. The doors however with the see through windows and shades are a nice added feature which helps to offset lack of windows on your campsite side of the trailer. We are very happy with our Rockwood 2109 after 4 years of heavy usage, if we ever trade up it would probably be for this model. If they upgrade the solar package to lithium that would just hit this one out of the ballpark. Great job once again Rockwood!

Yeah the windshield, kitchen window, and entry door window help but it doesn't have that PANORAMIC view for sure. Tough to make that happen in this size with two slides. I'm still so impressed with everything they DID manage to accomplish!

Good design. Note for the tall exterior storage, it should have a maintenance panel to access the fridge compressor, like they do on the exterior wall when the fridge is installed back to it. Don't know how much that fridge weighs but you had mentioned in previous videos how much damage they can do being pulled out. For those looking cpap shelf, use the voids by the over the bed storage. Take 1/4 round with double sided tape around the 90 degree on both sides. Put the rounded side down and make level with the top of valance. Put a thin piece of plywood or paneling on the 1/4 rounds and the tape should hold it in place. If you really like then think about some screws or more permanent adhesive. Thanks for the videos.

Love the camper. Get you some R&R with family time. If the fridge door was the other way, it would open opposite the prep space and kitchen. If you are just keeping barley pop for outside and couch time, opposite works

Love this one! The fridge door is backwards but completely works in this kitchen so you don’t have to go around or close door to move items to kitchen countertop. (Come to think of it, my current kitchen refrigerator opens the same way.)

Just a comment on the cabinet doors. I have heard you mention the fact that the door panels are raised panels installed backward to give a shaker look several times now. As someone who has worked in the cabinet industry for most of my adult life, that is the proper way to due a flat panel door. The cheaper way would be to use 1/4" plywood panels. These are not actually raised panels turned around backwards as you can see that the "raised" cut is smaller than a proper raised panel. This smaller raised cut allows a thicker piece of solid wood to fit in the 1/4" groove that is in the door styles and rails making a more substantial door with a solid sound when it closes. Sorry to get so nerdy about cabinets. Great video as always.

About the only thing I didn't care for was the lack of a night stand for the folks in bed, as well as the cabinet overhang of the foot of the bed that would possibly make make the bed not usable for the taller folks. Otherwise, this is really a great camper!! I also agree that it will be great when manufactures begin to offer larger solar capabilities. Looking forward to see what Rockwood comes out with. Thank you for showing the roof on this rig!! It looks like one could put at least 4 200w panels up there, maybe a 5th. Have a great weekend!

Wait it out. We bought the 1st one Haylett had in stock back in Feb... its AMAZING! Not sure if you seen the model in person, but every one of those pantries is huge. The kitchen one is beyond deep. Let me know if you'd like to know the totes we got for water, electric, sewage. They stack perfectly in that tall outer storage area, there's only one brand we found with the right measurements. But everything fits so we can use the underbed for chairs etc...

@@lreese4140 it won't let me share a picture. But they are Sterilite 30 qt. I got them from Walmart. They make several 30qts so make sure they are 18 long x 12 5/8 wide x 13 1/4 high. They are clear with beige lids that lock on both sides. We stack them by putting two in, then my husband lifts them and I put the others underneath. Light stuff on top, heavier on bottom.

I think that's a solid way of looking at it. A lot of decors are a bit "flat" from the factory. But a pillow, rug, or blanket can really add some nice color to it as desired

So far, not a problem. I pull up so the sewer drain hole is half way between the two trailer drains. First, I drain the front gray tank followed by the two rear tanks. I did buy another hose and Y adaptor, but have yet to use them.

CPAP shelf. I think about this too as I watch some of these videos. I’ve decided I won’t disregard a “perfect layout” camper because it doesn’t have a shelf for a CPAP. I’ll just buy another section of hose and the CPAP can sit on the floor.

Me too. I've seen a few early draft rumors but the final bundle isn't yet "official" it'll be on par with the middle packages Keystone is now offering which will be enough for the majority of people I suspect

We have the Flagstaff version. We decided on the walk through bath because we have friends stay with us and it helps with privacy especially since we have 2 doors going outside. I also added a Bose 300 and sub, which fits perfectly behind our sleeper sofa. I think that would be an awesome sound upgrade.

Josh, I got the Flagstaff 22fbs, twin to the 2205S and my fridge opened left to right. Came to find out, you can't open the door far enough to be able to move the shelves in the fridge. It hits the bathroom door. I just had the swing on the door reversed to allow us to move the shelves. That might be the same thing here, door would hit the pantry before opening enough to move the shelves. Just a thought.

Really like the floor plan. Two changes - those little shelves in the headboard area on the sides of the queen bed are in the way and absolutely need to be eliminated and the 2nd access door is not needed - substitute more storage.

I was actually surprised to see that in this one. Mini Lites usually do not have floor vents. I suspect the design of this RV prevented them from running flex-hosing thru cabinet sides in key areas

The ONLY thing better than this rv is Josh's review 😂 I love the layout! The interior is beautiful. I actually prefer a walkthrough bathroom, and having a "real" shower door instead of a curtain is a real plus. I think the fridge door opens the way it does to avoid knocking the kitchen drawers.

This one is lovely. Seriously, very nice look & layout. Can't believe how much storage space they fit into it - wow. Could definitely use it for long-term seasonal living. The slide carpet looks odd, agree, but maybe it acts as insulation? Or just extra-airtight gap sealer? Or maybe a noise buffer when the slides are operated? For late night set-up. It's a minor thing though, not a deal breaker.

Nice review Josh, but for me personally this trailer has two things going against it. I don't want a walk through bathroom, and there is no dining ability other than a fold out table. Got to admit that as far as a couples RV, the Cougar 22MLS you reviewed earlier was unbelievable. How did they get all that in 22'?!? You spoiled us with that one..... Understand that everyone has their own reasons for different RVs. Enjoyed the review. Don from Florida

Have you checked out the Cougar 24SABWE? It's only two feet longer, but the bathroom is in the middle, so it can be used by the owners and any guests without intruding on each other. And unlike the Rockwood, there is an aisleway, so you don't cut through the bathroom to access the bedroom. And like the 22MLS, it also has separate seating and dinette and a rear kitchen. For me, the clincher is the large water and holding tank capacity...60 fresh, 76 gray and 38 black. Very important if you dry camp or boondock.

@@AlaskaErik I agree that is a nice option too. The 22 is actually almost 26' bumper to hitch, and I see the 24SABWE is a little over 28'. Both would be easy to haul around. Right now I'm pulling a Keystone Laredo that is 38'.

Oh sure, It's not for everyone. The 22MLS is about 10" longer which helps here and there. When I compare this 2516S Rockwood vs. the 22MLS Cougar for me it's really a debate between "do I want bedroom privacy & storage or living space? Which is more important to me?"

I think this plan is outstanding; waiting for carpet to go and if Rockwood is smart they’ll copy the Keystone super item of composite flooring called hyperdeck-waterproof flooring I think is major; however Keystone hasn’t gone ventless flooring like Rockwood; surely in the next couple of years they can get it perfected
