The riots risk escalating into a conflict in Georgia, akin to the war in Ukraine. In 2008, Georgia lost Abkhazia and South Ossetia, along with additional territories through gradual annexation by Russia. The West will never engage in military intervention to defend Georgia, a position that is unlikely to change due to Russia's nuclear capabilities. Tbilisi needs to crush this Coloured Revolution masquerading as grass roots protest before Russia acts.
