"Full Bolt On" Modified 2015 Mustang GT - One Take

We tested the new 2015/16 Mustang GT when it was stock, and while it's certainly the best Mustang yet by a wide margin, we did find room for improvement in certain areas an enthusiast might find helpful, mainly the suspension damping, clutch feel, and exhaust sound. This 2015 Mustang GT has the "full bolt on" treatment, including common consumer-level upgrades to the suspension, engine, shifter, clutch, and exhaust, and it's no surprise that a little fine tuning goes a very long way in a Mustang.

I own a 2013 GT and the coyote motors don't sound that good with straight pipes, too raspy. I have GT500 axlebacks, Off-road H pipe, and long tube headers and it's almost as loud but sounds so much better

I love the new Coyote 5.0 especially with the new Charge motion valves. The LS3/LT1 engines are fantastic and you can make huge power N/A, but I find the Coyote a more "Fun" engine and it sounds amazing with just about any cans.

Tyler Wallace to simply put it the coyote doesn't respond as well to cams as the LS engines and therefore aren't worth the money. The LS typically responds better to engine modifications like upgrading cams and the coyote responds much to bolt ons and forced induction

well if something breaks like the wheels fall off you're off the cliff so you don't get scared for no reason when someone drives fast on a road like that. when you drive you're in control and the steering and your other inputs give you feedback of the grip levels and what the car is doing so of course you're confident on another level when you're driving.

No, not a full bolt on deal. The CAI upgrade is useless,my real power to be had by those on a mustang till over 500 hp or boosted. Next, no header upgrade. And nobody, nobody puts crappy continentals on a car with over 400 crank hp, nobody. Unless drifting is your thing and you want slippery tires. Michelin pilots are THE tires for this car.mtheres a reason this tires are on everything over 400 hp these days. Even the old Pirelli Pzero summers are greasy compared to pilots.

An SCT4 tuned, BBK CAI, BBK Longtube, Borla Atak Catback, 90mm Throttle Body, Coilovers, Driveshaft upgrade, Rear end upgrade(not sure if it was a 4.10 or a 3.73 from the stock 3.55); put down a whopping 75whp over the stock 384whp, and 65wtq over the stock 349wtq. You do the math, Bolt-ons aren't bad for a modern day car. Yeah it was almost $4,500. But you could put that into a 20 year old cobra and you wouldn't even come close to making the stock numbers of a 2015 FMGT, in a 1995 FMSVT.

You know, I've never really had a problem with the audio, maybe it's because I'm using studio monitors aimed at my ears. The only thing I didn't like was how loud the flybys were sometimes, but the balance between that, engine noise and voice levels has really been a lot better recently.

All the magazines say the new Mustang lost its edge and is too mild mannered. More of a highway cruiser now from the factory. A well optioned GT with track pack, recaros, etc is $45k. That is just too much to justify. Used would be around $28k with 30k miles.

Those gears are the shortest you can spec factory on the mustang GT 3.73 If you think they are long you wouldn't like my 15GT specced it with 3.31 gears the longest lol but you get some really great long pulls with them
