Everyone’s saying how Desean Jordan got robbed, which he did (do gotta give Nyjah a LOT of credit for coming in clutch and hitting the Nollie heel noseblunt)... but IVAN MONTEIRO really got robbed. His 2nd run, a tre flip noseblunt... I repeat, a TRE FLIP MOTHAFUCKIN NOSEBLUNT, and banger after banger before that and gets an 85.00....... shoulda been 1st. Ivan Monterio 2nd. Desean Jordan 3rd. Nyjah Huston Jake Ilardi was right there too and deserves an honorable mention, did a lot of awesome tricks. Vincent Milou had a solid run and deserves a shout out. i feel like the higher scores are justified. I am far from a skateboard expert, but in snowboard slopestyle x games the scores of the third runs are higher as well, simply because there are some athletes who produce pure diamonds under pressure (Mark McMorris for example). They do runs you never expected of them and seem to land every trick, no matter how much harder they are compared to the previous runs. Again, I don't know that much about skating, but the same thing seemed to happen to the final top 3 (even though i gotta say I have prefered some of Nyjah's tricks from the second run and would have loved to see them again in the third)

I started skating in the late 80's, and by the very early 90's this is what i envisioned skateboarding evolving into. Skateboarding just gets in your blood and marinates. Love it.

@@phill93 yeah, his old commentary was impossible to watch. I'd mute video and put music. He did a LOT better in this one.

I love how they straight up put heavy metal in the background than rap or something like that and it reminds me of early 2000s and I love it...

Nyjah does one insane trick and he wins?! Meanwhile Jordan does 3 insane tricks and judges are like nahh, nijah go brrrr

With judging like that why even call it a contest why not just call it a Nike skateboarding demonstration with scripted winners.

Well yeah it’s a street skateboarding event so they aren’t supposed to acknowledge transitions as much and when ur comes to gaps and other things it just depends on the course cause they change the course for every event so chill

@@matthewmcclain1316 it appears most of them would rather sit back and just let nyjah mess up his first 2 runs then come clutch like he always does

he needs to get out of his head and just do what he does. and stop trying to do the hardest tricks right out the gate because it messes up his mind and his flow.
