"Landing Gear Sled thing" is the correct, technical term. Even though you used USAAF colours this is a plane from the time in the war that paint was often improvised due to pigment shortages and poor instructions. Therefore, if anyone does complain you can bore them to sleep with the history of late war German logistics... Good job on a cool little plane

EXACTLY! To be honest, I've never understood getting so terribly caught up in the *exact* shades when the lights you display your models in can, and will, modify the final hue for your eyes. Close enough is good enough, IMO. But you know if it wasn't addressed.....

That's not a propeller. It's a ram-air turbine for electric generator.

Haha I had assumed it wasn't one, especially considering it's a rocket-powered plane. But you have to admit how silly it looks all things considered.

That little propeller as amusing as it may be produced all the electricity for that aircraft, radio gear, trigger switches, instruments and gauges etc so that the aircraft was light as possible without many systems weighing it down it was designed to be super fast too fast to shoot down they hoped that's why it had dolly wheels for take off fixed landing gear would cause to much drag and retractable landing gear would be far too heavy

Yup, spot on! It was a little generator that did everything the plane needed it to.

@@fenrismodels bit frightening really though when ya think of it that little propeller powering the entire aircraft one stray bullet and you've lost all the controls of everything leaving you with nothing but the cable driven flight controls still it's not the most frightening thing about that aircraft the most frightening thing was it's fuel and where it was located some pilots who survived the war said they called it the acid fighter lol

Haha yeah. I'd much prefer there be a pilot, but since my models all get hung from the ceiling of my office, you can't fully tell for most of them anyway. That being said, it would be great if more companies included them.

Stunningly bad idea to seat the pilot directly in front of a /fragile/ fuel tank filled with corrosive fuel..

A very unique aircraft. Fastest in the world for a few years. Had a habit of ruining a pilot's day, however 😂 Looks like a nice simple kit!

They weren't bad at all! I think I had one or two that may have folded on me, but nothing that couldn't be quickly undone.

Really? That's wild... all the Easy Assembly kits from HobbyBoss I've done have had absolutely great decals. To be fair, I've not built any non-Easy Assembly HobbyBoss stuff, and I've deff heard some mixed results as to the quality of those kits.

Thanks! For the low part count, I was rather impressed with the exterior detail! Interior left a lot to be desired, but at ~$12 USD it really wasn't a bad deal at all!

It was really a nice, and fun, build. I am really in awe at how good these Quick Build kits are. They aren't the most detailed, but they aren't supposed to be. Very nice for a quick, weekend, or mojo build.

The difference is mainly people being annoyingly gate-keeping about how to pronounce a word that officially has multiple pronunciations, and everyone generally knows what everyone else is talking about. I've heard it deck-uhl, deck-ahl, dee-cuhl, dee-cahl, and never once have had a brain malfunction trying to understand the person.
