I think it's mental that driving home from my Sister-in-law's house one day I see a smashed up i30N sat on someone's drive way and I thought nothing more of it. Turns out it was yours and I've been watching the progress of the build without realizing it's going on just down the road from me. Great work on the build, absolutely love it.

Mate... I have never enjoyed watching a project as much as i have done so with this! You have done such a great job with the video. However you have done an even better job with the car itself!! That looks totally radical. I love the livery and what you've done to the motor. Just wow!! To be honest i was salivating here wanting to do the same thing with my N (which is a fastback though). Seriously - great job!!

Loved the I30N had a loan of one for a bit and reminded me of a proper old hothatch a wee drivers car to throw around the British B-roads. Much better than its compition for the price.

Does make me laugh when these guys go on about how expensive the car parts are. Cars are stupidly priced at the moment. If parts were that cheap we would all be building them out of the parts bin 😂 Saying that another great video from Chris. So professional and precise. Great guy and great content. Always look forward to his videos and hope this KZbin stuff works out for him. With all the hard work that goes into producing these videos he deserves the success and rewards that seems to be the current trend. Hope he doesn’t burn out 👍

Numbers on the bolts relates to the property class of the material of the bolts. 10= high. Others you might see are 4.8 and 8.8

Probably not correct, Asian manufacturers, especially Japanese motorcycle makers (my field of interest) use standard torque settings, using a chart with bolt size, M6, M8 M10 etc is cross reference against the number on the head to give a torque figure, so for instance all M8 bolts with say, a 7 on the head will be same torque.

@garycrofts1421 Жыл бұрын
@@Patrick-bh2iu the numbers I refer to, and have seen frequently are large numbers, often a 4 or 7 and in the middle of the bolt head with no other markings. I know of 5.8 (grade 2), 8.8 (grade 5) and 10.9 (grade 8) or even radial lines to indicate hardness which he refers to in his comment above.

Did you do anything to adjust the scrub radius of the front wheels after kicking the offset out? If not I imagine it doesn't track terribly well. There are probably aftermarket control arms to get the steering axes aligned with the centre of the front contact patches. Other than that, nice build!
