I've gotten to the point where I'm actually considering the Bulwark is maybe the best melee class actually. My reasoning is that one, powerwhirl attack just straight instant kills anyone when hit, lunging melee follow up with power whirl has netted me 5 kills in 2 VERY fast swings. The power fist buff has made Bulwark an absolute fortress even more. Its heavy attack one shots in a front aoe, and if you get the timing right you can trigger the heavy extremely quickly. As you said, shield sidearm cycling to force pressure. With that pressure if your individual skill is good enough you will out gun everything period, this WILL force "counters" to come melee which you can now outright beat nearly every time with the power fist if you use corners or just situationally charge head first at them then do quick charge heavy to kill before they either break your armor or do any considerable damage vs your health

Love This. Been looking for tips on Sniper in PVP. It's all highlight reels. Liked. Subscribed. Maybe it's me but my volume on my phone is at max and I can hear you ok now but it might be more accessible to harder heading folks if you record your voice audio at a bit higher volume. We can always turn it down if need be.

@@DietDeathMetal Appreciate the love and feedback! It's not just you, I think I will adjust the volume a little bit going forward. As for Sniper, I'm delaying the guide slightly due to wanting to cover the Las Fusil but it requiring level 24, an oversight on my part. In the mean time I'm working on Vanguard and Sniper whilst I level up. Sniper could be episode 2, but will likely be episode 3.

@@arg-image9502 Currently collecting footage for my Heavy guide and I can agree 100% with what you said. They rely on the team more than any other class and they have the most disadvantage match ups. Assault, Bulwark and Vanguard are all in a good place to take the Heavy out easily enough. I literally could not deal with Bulwarks without my team being present, and in any games where I became separated, it was a struggle through and through. I'll say more when the guide releases, but without a solid team then Heavy mains will struggle currently.

The power fist kind of felt like the weakest weapon before the latest patch, now its actually really good if you can land the light->heavy combo, which can kill entire groups of people in front of you. The straight heavy attack is also hilarious to use when you're retreating around corners, enemies just walk into a fist that takes them from 100 to 0.

I was running it yesterday for a separate video, it surprised me! I have a video due to drop in a day or so that compares all melee weapons. The sparring arena in the battle barge has made melee testing a breeze now!

Played against a Bulwork recently that was killing me with one hit from the Power Fist. Seems crazy good for pvp. I was able to beat him only by counter picking as a vanguard.

It's broken at the moment. I think it should only be one hitting when fully charged but currently you can charge it just a little and one hit anyone. I have covered it in my most recent video and plan to cover it again when it's fixed.

Any tips to lock the timing in on power whirl, many teams now stick together how do you time it from let’s say behind a corner etc to land a kill efficiently, how long do you hold it for and animation allowance 1s then 1s or 1.5 total etc

@@aguy607 I have a video coming very soon where I compare all the melee weapons. I will be sure to add more info on the Powersword combo's. As far as I can tell, you can activate Power whirl JUST before your Bulwark readies the sword behind them. Practice it inside the Battle barge and you'll see what I mean. It's roughly a second or so but I'll break it down and cover it in my melee video.

ALSO, its useless info now, but at the time of this video the Fist was pre nerf, I got some good experience using it at the time and it was okay, not as forgiving as it is now bc it can one shot, BUT! But but but, it did stagger on heavy hit with 50% hp damage. So you could reliably do a follow up bc of the stun

Thoughts on bulwarks place after the patch? The stun nerf seems like it really boosts the effectiveness of the bulwark. Assault is the only class I struggle to 1v1

@@ledzepfolife Exactly this, it will need fixing again because currently I feel the Bulwark is too strong. There simply isn't enough to counter it.

I haven’t unlocked the fist yet but I just went up against a bulwark who one shot me multiple times when I had the opening strike. Made it seem like a losing match up 100%. Tbh ngl Im a Tactical Main and 90% time dealing with bulwark isn’t a massive problem. Id say its even. Tactical as of now is clearly the best class in the game. Imo no losing matchups.

Level 25 here, you are mistaken about the powerfirst, its the best option hands down. You always win melee 1v1 if used correct even if striking second. I believe you can even avoid the assault slam stun with it as it negates knock back while charging.

Not at all. Shock grenades, Krak grenades, heavy attacks, grapples, melta bombs, etc. can all disrupt the block of the shield or make it ineffective/bypass it completely. Also the bulwark is very good at taking damage from the front, but basically has no counterplay to being flanked. When fighting a good bulwark you want to shoot everyone else and then you can clean them up. It's hard because their banner is a huge buff, but then your goal is to bait the banner and retreat and reengage when you know the banner is down. Either that or you push in while a vanguard/assault is ready to attack from the sides.
