My parents car never looked like this. Barely allowed to eat in the car and have always been taught to clean up after ourselves. Just ridiculous lol they even made us double check the car that no crumbs or anything left behind.

One tip that'll help any parent, is to take a couple of old towels, and put 1 under each child. Just wash once a week if needed. It helps catch those crumbs, spills, and normal kid messes! My parents did this with my siblings, and I. I put them down with my kids. Also the car trash bags that hook on the back of the seats - excellent for quick clean ups.

I love this! One suggestion though would be to add an after shot when you’re done with the detail just so it can be really visually satisfying to see the end result. Other than that I love your techniques to getting it done cheaper and faster!

We are going to be buying a 12 passenger van for our soon to be family of 8. Our van is 14 years old, not nearly as dirty as yours..all of my kids aged 4-22 are strangely very clean. LOL But we need more space and our van is done for and I, haven't driven in it for years and it just needs replaced bad. So looking forward to restocking a nice new big van and watching your video made me want to go clean our vehichles. And get the new van NOW! Thanks so much for the video. It’s been a while since my last detail clean. Before winter and we took a trip to NY City with four kids too so I get the whole feed your kids in the car to keep them happy. We have a Lincoln Navigator and leather seats are the only way to go with kids. We also have the Weather Tek mats and they are a carpet saver for sure. Really enjoyed the video. I will do mine the next nice weather day. 👍🏼

A tip that might help is using a small shower caddy for the snack road trips my sister does that. And it helps a lot with crumbs and trash. The shower caddy you can get from the dollar store. 😀

I dont have kids but my car has gotten pretty messy as well! Also the word "messy" is relative. I am sure some people see this and think "oh, I would never!!!" and some people would see it and say "this is clean compared to what my kids do". How might you go about cleaning in between the middle console, passenger, and driver seats? I have crumbs, hair and I'm sure other things stuck in those small spaces but the vacuum I use is not long or small enough; I also don't think I can remove my seats.

On road trips, I take a 13 gallon trash bag for every day we're on the road and I designate whoever is sitting in the middle seat as the trash collector and the kids in the 3rd row still manage to make a massive trash pile back there. My other rule is that if they want soda while we're on the road, we're going into the restaurant, otherwise it's water only. I've had so many sticky soda spills in the car before I started enforcing that one. Now I must go tame the beast that is my minivan.

Great video. Your presentation skills are so good, you make it look easy. One suggestion on your audio; I had to keep turning down volume during the FFWD spans with music, then turn it back up for spans with you talking. You might want to lower the music level on your next video mix.

My kids weren’t that messy with our vehicles on our 11+ hour road trips to the in laws, but I taught them from a very early age that garbage from eating goes in the plastic bag. Did they always follow that rule? Hell no. Lol, but for the most part they did. Our house guests/sleepover guests were the worst. They leave trash in our cars all the time. Keep in mind a dirty vehicle floor is a pet peeve of mine. We travel with a small dog. Man some of those treats on your vans floor would have been vacuumed up by the small and furry. :) Have a question on that glass cleaner you use. Does it leave a streaky film on the window that’s really noticeable in the winter months? (I live in Minnesota so I’m not asking about a California winter) I end up just using vinegar and water mostly for my glass cause of that. Was a very nice video to watch. :)

Oh man, I hear you, I used to clean my car weekly, huge pride, and then kids came, and.... and it's just not worth the full detail every week :( within 5 mins they have already made a new mess lol. When I was growing up my parents were strict with the life lesson of taking care of things and with the cars we were told right from wrong to not trash up a car.
