Wash + Wax soap isn't really what you want to use if the goal is to decontaminate and correct the paint. You want a soap that contains zero gloss enhancers to get the paint as clean and sterile as possible. Otherwise you won't be able to make a proper assessment of the paint condition before polishing, because that soap can partially mask some of the defects that may be in the paint surface.

there's many flaws in this technique.... how about using a dedicated fallout remover before aggressively claying??? massive polishing area? lol

How do you wash the pads? Qier whether cutting polishing or finishing? You put yourself in a bucket with microfiber cloths, how do you wash the discs at the end?

If you've got a force drive polisher do you have to start that off the paint... as I noticed when I start mine on the initial start it's bit fast then drops down to the speed you put it on??

Always start your polisher on the panel. Start off slow to spread material, then pick up the speed.

What's the best way to get what they call a spiders web out of your paintwork ? Lots of swirl looking scratches not long owned a r26 megane in black and its mint bar the Mark's all over it ?

Hi guys! If I was to clay my vehicle, do I need to do a paint correction afterwards, or can I just wax it afterwards? Note: my car is brand new. Has done about 500 miles.

So after claying the car it would be left with no protection. With soft paints claying can leave marring so paint correction would be needed.

I had my clay from Amazon. Used it a few times on restoration of my baby's paintwork and still in perfect condition. I actually keep in a jar with water, as it's so sticky when dry it couldn't go back to its original box. 😄

Seriously? You don't use your bare hand to test the paint to tell if it needs to be clayed. Any reputable detailer knows you use a plastic sandwich baggie to test the finish, but if you are doing paint correction you should always clay which you did so that was good. Irregardless, beautiful car. I miss my old MK4 GTI.
