Most of my builds resulted in full power, boost start, step ahead depending on the character, and that 50% chance to act twice in a turn. Ridiculously powerful. I only wish we were given more slots to experiment with instead of the usual four. I know that would reduce the challenge of the game, but it would be fun.

@@craig581 i can understand the appeal of casti to a degree. but like my main osvald is lvl 36, rest are sub 30. I havent bothered using her bc she was the last char I got and I cant be bothered to travel around purchasing or farming concoct materials. When i can simply just use Agnea/Inventor, or any other characer with donate BP. Just run osvald, donate BP, give magic buff and nuke every enemy right away. For whatever reason the idea of having to consume a bunch of materials, especially the expensive matts that let you do the really OP stuff with casti, just annoys me more than anything. It makes me want to just mod the game to give myself a ton of money so I just go buy 99 of every material. Like maybe shes more for end game? Id say im like mid game right now and I have around 180k leaves and I just dont think shes viable in my party bc I dont have the rarer materials to make concocts effect every ally, and I cant keep buying the Pom LEafs at 1000 Leaves a piece to keep her useful. Sure recovering SP and HP is nice, but like I can just use a cleric to heal people, and SP isnt an issue in the mid game anyway.

Thank you. This made a huge difference for me. I was struggling with Harvey in Osvald's final chapter, and this was a game changer. Funny thing though. I had wasted Casti's JPs on her second job and couldn't afford her divine skill. She was 3,000 JP short, and I was too impatient to farm JP. Luckily Osvald had it, so I used him to work the magic, so to speak. Even with me stumbling once and having Temenos use Elemental Barrage at full boost without triggering his break ability, I was able to easily recover and win without much struggle.

Ain't no "probably" in it, she is definitely the most powerful character due to concoct. Basically have constant 4 BP for the entire fight, heals and recover SP for all. I actually had to refrain from using her during some fights just to keep it from being to easy

@@ehabib ohh what glitch is this? Never mind I just looked it up, and ochette was already my second most useful character due to chubby cait and other summons (not just the once per battle). But now I see she is even more Busted after completing her story, which I have not yet.

​@@joewhan11It allows Ochette to use 6 10* beasts in 1 turn and the beasts aren't limited to one time use. If you are familiar with the effects of many of the 10* beasts you would know how insanely OP it is. Being able to set up powerful buffs, powerful debuffs, team wide invicibility, teamwide heal and BP heal, and awesome damage in one turn is just hilariously fun.

Concoct is broken only in the late game, where you don't have to worry about the economy. In the early game, her Concoct is of very limited utility because most of the most powerful ingredients are super rare and expensive even when you can find them. Castti also kind of needs Concoct because most of the rest of her kit is garbage. Only axes, a healing-after-action buff that is less efficient than the cheaper and instant Healing Touch, a two-turn-cure for status ailments but it only works on one target, and Weak to Poison which would be useful more often if Poison Axe lasted more than two turns by default (meaning that she needs a lot of turns for setup with BP). Her kit is garbage except for concoct and Dohter's Charity, which itself relies on having unlimited numbers of ingredients (the most powerful of which are very expensive to buy in numbers). This makes her kind of suck until later in the game.

Most of the ingredients are pretty easy to find 1 of. Then once you do her special to let her mix without consuming them makes it op for nearly the whole game imo

Hi, I just wanted to say thanks. I have always LOVED JRPGs and I didn’t get to play the first one. I really wanted to enjoy this game and between work and having a 3 year old I have very limited time to play and much less time for my own trial and error. I made a playlist of all your OT2 videos especially the builds and the playlist stays on repeat while I fall sleep and on the ride to work. They’ve been a HUGE help and have been a huge part of the reason why ive been able to fully enjoy this game as much as I have… and it might be game if the year for me. Appreciate breakdowns of each character. It's really helping save some time for selecting subclass / trial and error for some late game setups. When I first played, I thought long and hard about who I would want to keep in my party always and pick that as the main character. That character was Castti and have not ever regretted that choice ever. I went with healer main in first game, but decided to apothecary main since it felt like a true support class idea and I was right.

Apothecary's just a great starting class in general, you always have a healer, always have a way to revive someone, have a fairly tanky character early on with Hale and Hearty, Concoct is cracked and the more concoct the better, and high-level inquire is always a great boon.

I actually didn’t play the first one, I went into this one completely blind but it’s easily my game of the year so far, it’ll at the very least be my JRPG of the year. Is it worth going back to play the first one after I finish this one? I haven’t been this addicted to a game in I don’t know how long. I’ve heard there’s a lot of quality of life changes in this second game that weren’t in the first one. Im wondering if there’s too many that I wouldn’t enjoy it? Also we have the same name! I use thief on her. She's not in Throné's party, so I wanted a thief for corrode armor. I also have ice boosting weapons on her.

Vigorous Victor has its uses for farming. Partitio with thief, cranked speed stat, and Full Power equipped, immediately Aeber's Reckoning everything for 99,999, then get your SP back so you can do it every fight without needing items or other characters to refill it.

I used Vigorous Victor for farming for *ages* Eventually I swapped to Full Power + Agnea's Latent + Inventor's Arkar's Coil Or an Arcanist using Boost Start + Blessing/Benediction to regain SP (this doesn't work as well in low lvl areas, where mobs don't have enough max HP to regain much SP), if that doesn't kill every enemy, then Armsmaster and/or Thief's Reckoning should finish everything on "Turn 1" (A Step Ahead does not count as Turn 1, but catching foes surprised does btw), and the next fight's Arcanist should restore all of their SP.

@@magus13131 I'm at a point where I'm just one-shotting everything with Aeber's, so there's no point in making it more complicated. Victorious Victor allows me to do it every fight, so it's basically just removing combat from the game. It's not enough for boss fights, but that's not the point of it.

Healing touch actually heals a TON. I'm not sure what actually buffs it, but I had my hikari as an apothecary before he became armsmaster and he was healing pretty much full HP through mid-late stories.

I believe it. The late game items are so strong that normal healing felt super bad most of the time. I tend to say if an ability can be easily replaced by an item anyone can use its probably not great. That seems to be true in the long term but short term no doubt you need good spells like this

Healing Touch is a massive heal / revive when things go wrong. I always use Castii as a warrior with Incite simply because she's by and far my BULKIEST character. And it let's me spam her latent free max BP spam. xD If i'm attacking it's always just poison axe. She helped trivialize the final boss. And made the super boss a lot easier. And spamming a elemental infused Aeber's on Throne every turn is wild.

Vigorous Victor is really good for the early game. Plop it on your whole party for only 130 JP and you'll almost never have to worry about SP use. Sucks in the late game, of course, but it's incredible from levels 10ish to 30ish.

I just got my fifth party member smh can't dig on pick who to USE now. Was Hikari, Castii, Partitio, and Agnea. Just got Temenos. I have no clue who to use, just keep the party, switch Agnea for Temenos, or Castii for Temenos, but then again I rarely use Partitio right at all lol I kinda suck halp

I went with Warrior for Castti for the high hp and defence, but never used any of the Warrior skills. Purely only for the extra stats, and most importantly the high hp. I think i was around 6k hp on Castti by end game, which i found was more than enough to take on any of the final challenges without having to worry too much.

Cassti is the second best Conjurer in the game next to Hikari her seemingly weak Sweeping Cleave becomes a insane AoE Nuke with a conjur infusion. Cleric And Acanist are very good on cassti because she gain access to sunshadow staff to boost all of her light and dark dmg even fron her concoction and she can wield stone of truth to give her tier 2 magic not to mention she gets Acces to mooneater dagger to boost the dmg on here wind concoction also. Cassti is a mixed attacker so she needs both phisical and elemental mastery to shine that's why the 2 best axe in the game are Split scaling dmg. I am not trying to be rude but you take on thouse 2 classes boggles me

@@purplatypus7405 DMG is baked into her kit man she dose not lose anything going arcanist she only gains she gains 2 magic skills so she dose not have to wast items on concoction light and dark spells only wind at that point and her Intire hazard section scales from Elemental attack and the Tier 2 magic is stronger then her Concoction Spells and add a secondary effect.

Remedy does work with Seal of Diffusion so max charged Remedy gives the whole team 9 random boosts if you want to do that.

@Lordgrim1 partitio is a merchant so that helps As long as you don't have more than one as a merchant at a time I think you can switch them off and use the passive on everyone

I just make casti a warrior for the stats cuz every other class doesnt really do anything for casti so I use warrior for the health and defence and sometimes I make her a dancer for speed so she can act first

I went with warrior for the higher hp and defence that offers, but i most used concoct with Castti, as it's so broken once you get everything end game. Two other options and Cleric if you want to heal/use light magic, and then also Conjurer for buffs, but again you're probably not going to use any of those, so i chose to go for survivability with Warrior.
