Most Models agreed there would be a line of severe thunderstorms to roll across the I-81 Corridor, through the Shenandoah Valley and into the Blue Ridge on July 10, 2024. This was not the case - which happens often in this region. A difference of 1 or 2 degrees in the middle layers of the atmosphere from projections makes all the difference. This is known as a bust to storm chasers. Meterologists take heat for these scenarios - but they do happen.
