I agree, the doll story got me. I'm 56 and my mother gave me a Madame Alexander baby doll named Victoria for my third Christmas. I loved her so much I named my first born daughter Victoria . Then got her her own Madame Alexander Victoria at an auction for her third Christmas. It would mean the world to me if someday one of my children put my baby Victoria with their Christmas decor ❤️

What a beautiful example of Christmas home decor; vintage/Victorian but not fussy, elegant yet simple, everything a holiday should be! And then, you thanked your viewers for watching & I thought, "No, thanks to YOU for doing all that work & then inviting US in!" I love how carefully you've curated every room & corner, especially the reading corner. And I love how you didn't pack away all of your everyday items, just re-arranged & tucked in extra Christmasy touches like the bottlebrush trees. I'm also reluctant to use much red, choosing deeper burgundy colors instead, but the red transferware reads as pink, which I think is delicious. Everything is wonderful!

In my living room window, I've hung various sizes of oversized mercury glass ornaments on velvet ribbon in varying lengths from the curtain rod. They look so beautiful. However, last year, my 1 1/2 yr old grandson climbed up on the couch, grabbed one, and swung it into my window. My windows are original to my victorian home, just gorgeous wavy glass. It didn't break the window or the ornament. We couldn't believe it!!! We all expected both to shatter. Sometimes, you get lucky or have a higher power looking out for you. I choose the latter.❤ Your home is decorated so beautifully, with such elegance. Thank you for sharing, and your red dress was stunning.

Window coverings would up the coziness factor in your home by leaps and bounds, especially when it’s dark outside and uncovered windows look like dark, creepy holes.

Oh my goodness, your home is the loveliest I’ve seen. The warmth is in every room and endless touches of Christmas from a time in the past that I try to preserve in my decor too. I certainly don’t have the design skills, but I have been working on it for years. Years ago I had the pleasure to be in an old school house which was converted into an antique shop. I could have lived there since it was so charming and the plaster walls and old plank floors were memories I’ll never forget. I enjoy all of your ideas because they provide us with the love for decorating in the most nostalgic way to provide happiness and comfort. Seasons Greetings!❤

This is truly beautiful, your home and the decorations! So much Nostalgia in that first room for me. From as young as I can remember up until my early teens, all we had was a 6ft silver tinsel tree, which would now be very vintage and almost antique. The only ornaments were glass balls In different colors and instead of lights on the tree we had the colored spinning wheel..i loved it so much! And when you mention your grandfather coming home from WWII.. my dad was in WWII, a purple heart marine vet. That was before I was born but one of the first things he bought for me as a infant was a tiny birthstone ring.. it had a purple stone set in a lot gold bow and he bought it at an antique store! I miss my parents dearly, especially at Christmas as it was our favorite time!🎄

Just lovely Sarah! Your home is truly gorgeous - so warm and inviting! I just hung my thrifted gold bells on burgundy velvet ribbon and strung them on our Christmas tree ! Love it! Hi Sarah, I am just in awe of the beauty of you and your home. I have been watching your channel a long time. And how hard you and your husband have worked on your home. I noticed the windows being done immediately. From the entry of the beautiful porch the garland and garden urns. And the cozy kitchen I love the countertop. And to bathroom the marble top dresser project, I remember you doing. By the time you showed the landing at the top of your stairs, I teared up! The baby doll story makes me think of my great grandfather, he didn’t get to meet my grandmother until she was almost a year old. She carried a picture around and called it ‘daddy’ but wasn’t sure about him when he got home 🥰😂 she warmed up!
