I’ve seen several people say they had trouble opening these but, if you look at the “button” straight on you just need to press on the top of the button (that’s closest to the lid if that makes sense) rather than the bottom edge. I think that was purposefully done because if it’s in a makeup bag there’s no way that free edge of the button is going to get pressed by any other items and open the compact to be damaged. Hope that makes sense and helps!

I notice if you press the bottom edge of the button after closing it, it sort of “locks” the compact … I love how secure it is but yet easy to open .

I agree the rose nectar shade is something extra special from Pat! I thought that it’s a new formula as well. I have a lot of her shadows and nothing I own comes close to the way this feels and performs. It’s almost like a silky formula and it’s stunning!

I wasn't going to buy anything from Pat this time, 'cause I'm trying to watch my💲💲 But I caved and bought a blush and the palette. And Im glad you like both, the pink shade in the quad made me get it. I usually wait for your reviews to see if a product is worth it. But since it's Pat, I went for it. Excellent review, Mel! I think Pat McGrath outdid herself on this spectacular collection! I picked up the eyeshadow palette, the Divinyl lipstick in Flesh 7, and six of the blushes. I skipped the highlighter because I was afraid it would show texture.

I appreciate the swatches, love the eye palette. Not sure if you had bronzer on with each demo of the blush? A lot of the blush colors translated the same on your skin, I wasn’t sure if bronzer was maybe the culprit or not. Beautiful final look on the eyes, the more I watch reviews the more I’m convinced I ‘need’ the quad.

I am always so supriced by Pats lipsticks - on the website the Dream Lover lipstick looks beigy-nude, both in the bullet and on the models. I had no idea it was terracotta and so dark! I have ordered it but not received it yet. Looks really good on you! :-)

I think the lipstick is a pretty color but agree her description of beige nude is way off from the warm nude it actually is in videos. Most of her matte lipsticks coming out have been LE so i decided to pass anyway. I really like donatella and think i found out after it wasn’t perm.

@@donnataylor4343 I got mine this week and on light/medium skin its truly terracotta red. I cant see how pictures on Pat website can show this shade on tree different models (fair, light and deep) and they all look pale pinky beige. Its not possible. I wish she had destriptions of the colors added to the shade names and pictures, because the pictures are always so deceiving. I must have bought at least 10 Pat lipsticks over the years and none of them has been as pictured on the lightest model or the bullet itself, I m giving up. The color is pretty, but its nothing like the pictures. Should have waited for the reviews but I was too eager on the launch day :-D

I bought the Desert Orchid blush, the eye quad and the gloss and after watching this I know I made the right choices and can't wait for them to arrive! One of my few qualms about Pat products is her lack of actual nude lipsticks. They are ALL way too on the rose side and too deep. She needs to create a CT Kim K W shade. A true pale pinky-peachy nude lip. We neeeed it lol

Mel, everything looks great on you. I have three of the blushes (Fleurtatious, Nude Venus, Desert Orchid) - they’re nice but i think the formula is just ok. Are the darker colors like Electric Bloom harder to blend? I’ve seen a few videos where that shade in particular seems hard to sheer out.

Hi Mel! Thanks for the review! It's been awhile (maybe all of 2021 since I've really been excited for a new makeup release). The eye quad really spoke to me but wasn't sure if I should take the plunge. Your video sealed the deal! I'm passing on the blushes as it's not something I'm dying over (I like and wear blush but it doesn't get my juices flowing haha). I think I will pick up the gloss as well. Question for you - the lipstick looks so pretty but reminds me a lot of the new shade of CT lipstick Nude Romance...are they similar?

I’m nervous about the highlight after watching a couple of reviews. I think it may be too dark for me. I definitely want to pick up a couple of the blushes, as well as the lighter lip shine balm. So I was wondering what blush I wanted to buy, they all look so pretty, I decided to get just one, but then I saw a few reviews on the quad, and now I want it. 😂 I use my finger for all shimmer type shadows....I tried it once, it worked great, and now it's just habit.
