About 20 years ago, I was a bouncer and bodyguard at Zanies Comedy Club in Nashville, Tennessee. During that time, Mr Bruer performed there. Serious question: Do you think most people actually agree with us, but they're too afraid to speak their minds? Or do you think it's really as bad as it seems? I'd like to think it's a "squeaky wheel gets the oil" type situation, because of social media. At 47 years young I have grown to hat a lot of things these days (on tv or internet) but I truly love listening to Jim Breuer whenever possible. He just says stuff that makes sense and it feels good to be able to be happy and laugh while agreeing. Truly one of the greatest entertainers out there and I appreciate what he does and how he does it because I know it’s done against the grain of the establishment and probably causes friction in his life monetarily but he says what he believes anyway and it’s funny/true. I’m thankful and frugal but I’ll be buying some “Freedom of laughter” gear for Christmas gifts 1000% this year! Get some!

Wife and I went to see him live two weeks ago. That show was this material, and it was evolved since this recording, showing he's not just spouting previously written and rehearsed material. He's riffing like a fine jazz artist, and went down into more detail in some key stories (hog hunts, turkey hunts, meeting his wife in the driveway after a six hour trip from Vermont, etc.,) that made it so hilarious! If you can, go see him live. He's special!
